...do I feel such a deep connection to this show? And SpongeBob?
Maybe it's because SpongeBob represents all the good and joy in the world.
Can yall share how SpongeBob makes you feel?

I connect to SpongeBob a lot. When I am sad or depressed, I can always count on that smile to make me happy. Spongebob is more than a character; he's the face of joy itself. I don't know if any of this made sense; I just love the show so much, lol. I remember once I was really depressed, like really sad, so I opened the TV and SpongeBob was on; it made me smile. Just seeing his smile made me happy; he's such an adorable, nice character. i think that kinda shows what kind of a person Stephan hillenburg was, they say your creation can reflect your personality and who you are as a person, and i think it's true in this context.

Theres something so warm and fuzzy feeling about the show that makes me go back every time I'm feeling down, or just want something to relax to. That's part of why I've latched onto Season 1 so deeply, that hand drawn and fuzzy cel look just screams SpongeBob to me.
