Why I have made the difficult decision to give up SpongeBob SquarePants after Season 12

Yup, I agree with what everyone here has said. I admittedly haven't truly been into Spongebob for a long time myself, haven't really enjoyed an episode since Season 8 or 9, and fully support you doing whatever you want to do.

I think the show, still has potential to be good but I respect your decision to leave it.

That is very true. I think the true renaissance of the show was Season 9b and Season 10. There have been a few episodes in S12 that are very season 6 esque, especailly the Nitwitting.

I agree with this statement. I really didn't like 9 or 10 either but 12 seems to be worse.

That's very understandable. I haven't seen much of Season 11 or 12, but that's just because I haven't gotten to them. But I watched a good portion of Birthday Blowout and while it had some nice touches, it wasn't very entertaining imo.

I will admit I enjoyed some of the Birthday special but the reason I'm quitting the show is because I know it won't be the same without Stephen Hillenburg

To me, he made SpongeBob what it was

If "SpongeBob's Birthday Blowout" really was Stephen Hillenburg's final episode, then why did "Karen's Baby" and "The Krusty Bucket" still have him listed as an executive producer?

Because those episodes were produced a With hillenburg’s help before Birthday Blowout.

It is also the reason I didn't care for the 2004 movie

Might as well just face facts and say I'm simply growing out of SpongeBob SquarePants/Nickelodeon as hard as it is to believe!
