Which decade had the best music?

For me, it would have to be the 60s. So many great bands - The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones, Cream, The Supremes, The Who, The Shadows, Harpers Bizarre and solo artists - Stephen Stills, Dusty Springfield and Elvis Presley.

The 70s and 80s are pretty good, but in the 90s, 00s and up til now it hasn't matched the 70s and 80s, let alone the 60s.

The 90s for sure. Fantastic albums like the Mollusk, Chocolate and cheese, Aquemini, etc are some of the best I've heard.

The 60s and 70s. So many great songs and groups (The Beatles, the Rolling Stones) and solo artists (Dionne Warwick). The quality, for me, is much better than most of the newer stuff. I don't mind the newer stuff, but it's mostly electronic stuff and the like.

I like a lot of things from the 90s. It could just be personal taste though--music isn't a contest. People hear artists like Nicki Minaj and think its the only type of music this generation turns out. Its not. I'm still a sucker for 90s pop though - especially girl groups and artists xP

I like the 80s best.
Then 70s
Then 90s
Then 00s
Then a tie between 60s and 2010s
I don't listen to much made before then.

90's. Especially early 90's. Lot of alternative rock and pretty good pop and grunge.

60s: Good Ol' Rock, Baby!
70s: Good Ol' Rock with Improvisations, Baby!
80s: Dance and Synthesizer are very aesthetic, my dear...
90s: It's time to attack Teenage's interest by alternative way, dude

00s:

MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY!

The '80s and '90s were awesome.
The '80s because of synthpop, new wave, heavy metal, rock, classic R&B, and old-school hip-hop music
The '90s because of alternative rock, grunge, eurodance, country, R&B, rap, new jack swing, disco, techno, hip-hop, and rock music

90s music is the best IMO. The 60s and 80s also had really great songs as well.

It's a tie between the 70s and the 90s. They both had great art rock, great noise rock, great punk rock, great experimental crap, and don't forget the awesome pop hits that came from both decades.

80's.
Oingo Boingo, Devo, The Bangles, Kenny Loggins and Huey Lewis are some of my favorite bands/artists out there. There were also so many great one hit wonders during this period! Music was at it's prime imo. But there still are a lot of great songs today :sbthumbs:
