There's only three of the four Jonas brothers in the band. The fourth one, the littlest one, is with them on tours, but he's not officially in the band. :P

Now for your question of "what a Jonas brother is", it's a member of the band, which I think you're referring to Joe, Kevin, or Nick Jonas. Those three brothers are in the band together, so they're what we call "The Jonas Brothers".

If this topic was just for the sake of being silly, then I just made a completely literal post. :O
