Was "The Lost Episode" really a lost episode?

If it actually was a lost episode, it probably would've only been available on special prints or releases. I haven't seen it in a while, but I think it was just to attract viewers.

No, but they make it seem like it is by only airing it once every 2-3 years.
EDIT: Let me restate that: so, if you consider Party Pooper Pants, Valentine's Day/The Paper, Fools in April/Neptune's Spatula, and Scardey Pants/I was a Teenage Gary lost episodes, then yes.

me and my family was in flordia for summer vacation years and years and years ago when i saw that episode so yeah i would say it was a lost episode

I don't follow your logic. You're saying that because your family was on vacation in Florida when you saw it, it's a lost episode?

yeah we were on vacation and we stayed in a nice hotel we had a great time in flordia and i was anaware of the spongebob lost episode needlessly to say i was glad i caught in time while we were in flordia for vacation and it was a really great episode.

They probably only air the episode on occation to make it seem lost, and if it was just a normal 11-minute episode, (which it is without the patchy stuff) it would air normally. But that's just my theory, feel free to correct me.

The title 'Lost episode' was just a Nickelodeon gimmick so that they can trap ratings.
This.

Also, to make it even more gimmicky, they rarely air it..
