I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I think that the designs from seasons 5-9 are better than the current ones. Seasons 1 and 2/3 designs are the best, with subtle but very funny expressions. Season 5-9 was a lot stiffer, but still was recognizably the characters we knew. The new designs went the opposite way, and are over-expressive, as well as characters such as Mr. Krabs' and Plankton's jaws sticking out in odd ways.

-KKTV is very overrated and has grown rather old
-I love Pineapple Fever very much
-I'm sick of hearing about how Season 3 is the best season of SpongeBob all the time... it's probably my least favorite pre-movie season at this point

Unpopular opinion alert:

SpongeBob is NOT a total man-child, only a partial one

And Bubble Bass is a total man-child!

CMT recently aired the PG-13 rom-com "Failure to Launch" and the main character Trip was even MORE of a man-child than SpongeBob SquarePants

He was closer to Bubble Bass in terms of "man-childness" (no girlfriend/wife, lived in his parents' house, no job, etc)

SpongeBob may not have a girlfriend/wife, or know how to drive BUT he has his own job & lives on his own!

My unpopular opinions:
Good Neighbors is more of a "Meh" than a "Scumbob"

Season 11 is better than Season 1

More about Season 1, I think it is the worst of the pre-movie era, and is right below season 5

Season 6 was the best of the trash era.

Mr. Krabs is the most evil main character in the show

SpongeGuard on duty is sort of boring and entertaining at the same time.

Season 3 is better than Season 2

Jellyfishing is really horrible. When Squidward torture ::dolphin noise:: literally causes Squidward to have physical pain, that is where I draw the line. One thing I really hate is how people like this episode for SpongeBob being clueless, while in Good Neighbors, he does the exact same thing and everybody hates it.

People probably thought that SpongeBob's naivete was cute in Jelly-fishing compared to Good Neighbors
