Although I normally dislike new episodes on principle, I have to admit I actually enjoyed these two. At times they could have even passed for season 3 episodes, and that is REALLY saying something. The first thing that appealed to me about them was the fact that Spongebob's face seems to be back to normal - I usually get really PO'd by his droopy nose and cheek "implants".
Second was the fact that there weren't really any awkward moments in either of them. By awkward moments, I mean those times where you are watching and just think, "Ugh ... this is embarrassing" because it's so bad.
