Top 8 Krappiest Krabs Episodes (No One Coarse Meal)

MissTree

Moby Dollar
There are multiple lists for the worst SpongeBob episodes, worst endings, worst portrayals of Patrick, and even worst grossout scenes/episodes, but I've pretty much never seen a list featuring Mr. Krabs at his worst. This isnt about the worst episodes focusing on him, it's about him at his most unlikeable. To make it more interesting One Coarse Meal will NOT be included.

8) Penny Foolish

This is basically just about Mr. Krabs seeing SpongeBob picking up something he thinks is a penny and then obsessing over pennies. He goes out of his way to try and get the penny from SpongeBob who never has it. Then when we do see it again it turns out to be a chewed up piece of gum... so basically this episode wasted our times. The gum turns out to be a $500 bill and Mr. Krabs is still looking EVERYWHERE for the penny. It's at the bottom because Mr. Krabs was hurting himself more than anyone else.

7) The Cent of Money

So Mr. Krabs find out that Gary can attract money.... yay? it all goes downhill from there as he "borrows" Gary and makes SpongeBob do impossible tasks. He starts using Gary to attract money from people, things, everywhere and it's clearly hurting him but does Mr. Krabs care? NO! He attracts money and that's all that matters! Gary then has to go to the doctor, and it turns out he has a magnet inside him that attracted all that money. The good thing is Mr. Krabs actually had to pay with the money that he stole and walked out empty-handed.

6) No Hat For Pat

At first he's not that bad, even when he makes Patrick fall over and over again to lure in customers but later on he gets worse. Patrick is subjected to more pain because of Mr. Krabs's selfish desires. SpongeBob can't get Mr. Krabs to stop so Patrick gets ready to fall in sea urchins, but things go wrong and no one gets hurt, so the customers take back their money and Patrick doesn't get the hat. Again, pretty low because no lasting damage was done and Mr. Krabs was really the only one that lost in the end.

5) Greasy Buffoons

The episode is basically just Plankton putting grease in his food and getting customers, then Mr. Krabs putting more grease, then they keep trying to outdo the other until they sell pure grease, all at the expense of the customers. The customers were getting sick from all the grease but Mr. Krabs only cares about outdoing Plankton and $$$. As bad as this is, it's not as bad as......

4) SpongeBob, You're Fired

This episode is hated among SpongeBob fans and for good reason. Mr. Krabs decides to fire SpongeBob... to save a nickel... yeah I think this speaks for itself. He's only not working for free because it's illegal, as if that's stopped him before. Mr. Krabs wants him back ONLY after he finds success elsewhere, and because the Krusty Krab is tearing apart without him. The latter is at least a decent reason but he should have known that would happen. But wait, how is he going to save money now? Why, he has a pay toilet!

....

3) InSPONGEiac

Yet another Krusty Krab episode. This time, SpongeBob puts just a tiny bit too much mustard on the patties, and this causes Mr. Krabs to freak out. Why? Because he could go bankrupt for the rest of his life and even beyond that.

...I have nothing to say about that...

So he jumps to the conclusion that SpongeBob might have insomnia, which puts him under pressure and actually gives him trouble sleeping. SpongeBob cries the "right amount" of mustard on the patties the next day, the end. Mr. Krabs wasn't as malicious as usual but he made up for it in being selfish.

2) Plankton's Regular

Plankton gets a customer and finally leaves Mr. Krabs alone!

But apparently Mr. Krabs won't have that, so he tries everything to get that ONE customer to eat at the Krusty Krab even though earlier he was bragging about all of his customers. He even goes so far as to try and steal the chum recipe! This might have been hilarious and ironic if it was handled better but it's not. Then we get what's probably the worst ending ever: It turns out Nat was PRETENDING to like the food for money (Karen was paying him). Of course, Mr. Krabs is there to watch it all go down. He just LAUGHS at Plankton as he breaks down in tears. What a ::dolphin noise::!

What's worse than an episode where he hurts a pet for money, an episode where he gets someone to hurt himself just to draw in customers, an episode where he obsesses over a PENNY, an episode where he fires his best customer just to save a nickel and ends up getting more out of it in the end, an episode where he puts himself over the health of his customers by selling grease, an episode where he convinces one of his customers that he is an insomniac just because he put 1% more mustard than usual, and an episode where he laughs at his rival's misery at losing his only customer? It's...

1) The Krabby Kronicle

Mr. Krabs is having trouble finding new customers despite putting an ad in the newspaper. He finds out the newspaper he put it in isn't interesting which is why no one reads it, so he gets SpongeBob to bring him some stories. He comes back with one of Patrick watching a pole, which he changes to "Patrick Marries a Pole". It gets MUCH worse from here as he convinces SpongeBob it's just for laughs. Now, if all that happened was that people laughed at those being lied about it would be tolerable, but people lose their jobs or personal belongings, most of them main characters too.

Mr. Krabs threatens to take away SpongeBob's spatula if he doesn't write more lies, so SpongeBob stays up all night. It turns out he wrote about everything Mr. Krabs did wrong in the episode (he didn't lie, so does this mean he disobeyed? xD ), and the customers take their money back.

That's a great ending! The punishment couldn't be more perfect!

Yeah, that's why they had to extend the episode.

Mr. Krabs wallows in defeat at first, but then he finds out the printer can print money, and THAT'S the true ending.

So, not only does he not lose, but he walks away with much more than he ever gained before that. He reaches his highest point after he paid (no pun intended) for what he had done and then they just give him a money printer?

I'd replace Penny Foolish with Jellyfish Hunter assuming you're ranking these based on Mr. Krabs' jerkiness and not how bad the episodes themselves are.

Jellyfish Hunter ranks lower for me.

You probably could replace InSpongeiac with One Course Meal
Too easy.

8) Penny Foolish
I like the idea, but the writers missed way too many chances to make a better story. Should've done the dream sequence better, should've done the ending better, etc, etc...
7) The Cent of Money
Again, I liked the idea but they missed a big opportunity to make this into a really good episode. Krabs should've seen Gary's ability as a drug. He wants to stop because Gary's being hurt, but he couldn't stop his obsession over getting more money. It's a wonderful story to tell sitting right in front of their eyes, yet they missed the chance. BIG waste.

6) No Hat For Pat
Krabs was a total ::dolphin noise:: in this episode, but I'm prepared to give it a pass because it worked wonderfully from a story telling perspective.

5) Greasy Buffoons
I actually liked this episode. It's like a parody of how business goes in the modern world.

4) SpongeBob, You're Fired
Just a lazy, lazy episode. Everything about it is just lazy. The motivation of each characters, the plot points, the humour. Not worth discussing.

3) InSPONGEiac
It's a shame really, cause it's pretty decent episode, but Krabs' motivation is so stupid.

2) Plankton's Regular
Poor motivation. From Krabs and Karen. Missed a big chance with the ending.

1) The Krabby Kronicle
Would be like No Hat For Pat if it was funnier. The ending sucked as well (not the Patrick bit, that was awesome).

8) Should have done EVERYTHING better.
7) that would have been good actually.
6 & 5) Eh.
4) Agreed.
3) If Krabs just wasn't so badly done the episode would be great, maybe they could just have SpongeBob overworrying on his own accord.
2) Agree
1) Worst ending ever

The ending of The Krabby Kronicle is saved by Patrick, no doubt :P

Aside from that joke, I find Krabby Kronicle to be funny, the lies that SpongeBob made up are really funny and I'm glad SpongeBob standed up for himself and everyone to Mr. Krabs but I wish it stayed that away, instead of making Mr. Krabs a way to make free money, boo.

I'm fine with his cheapness for No Hat for Pat and Greesy Buffons because I think his greediness worked so well.

He's worse than SpongeBob in APFG and Patrick in PSP, NO DOUBT. The Cent of Money was painful to watch until it saved by the ending and got away from my bottom 50 that I still need to finish.

SpongeBob You're Fired has his one of worst moments ever. Such a bland mediocre episode.

InSpongeiac is a guilty pleausre of mine but oh boy, wasn't he cheap as Hell?

Penny Follish is a whole new level of stupidity.

Plankton's Regular wins the list IMO because he is so hypocrite for stealing Plankton's formula. Plus he laughing at Plankton's misery, boo.
