Anyone notice how a lot of modern shows have more modern episodes than classics episodes. Not by time wise, but by quality. For example, Spongebob has hundreds of post-movie episodes, hundreds of post sequel episodes, but only 60 pre-movies. Family Guy also has more modern episodes than classic, since every episode since season 8 has the same exact animation and tone. Adventure Time has more modern episodes than classic too, same with Gumball and Regular Show. 10 years ago, pre-movie (Season 2-3) were still considered old, But season 7 is now a decade old, and it still feels modern. Season 7 is also a lot more like Modern SpongeBob than it is like season 2-3, in terms of animation and writing. Am I the only one who notices that most shows have more modern episodes than classic

I consider EVERYTHING after the first & second movies to be "modern" and all the stuff prior to 2004 "classic"

So by definition, SpongeBob DOES have a higher ratio of modern vs. classic episodes!

It's an inevitability with most 'classic shows' that 'go on for too long'. The newer fans see no divide, they just see their favorite show.
