Hello everyone, welcome to the SBM election! This is a thread I came up with a few days ago, so I thought I'd give it a shot. This is a thread that needs active participants. If you read this, I'd greatly appreciate if you'd participate, that'd make the game a lot more fun :)
Anyway, this is by no means a real election (Obviously, given its placement in the Krabby Land subforum). To start off this election, we'll create our own fake political parties, then nominate users for the parties (I'd say a maximum of four parties). Depending on how many users are nominated, we'll include primaries to chose the official nominees of the parties. Users who participate will be given the chance to represent a state (For both the primaries & general election), whether it's your home state, or if you don't want to represent your home state, any state, really.
So, basically here are some rules to be used down the line to avoid any confusion.
1.) You may only nominate one member for your party. Other users can nominate members for the same party, but each can only nominate one. You can not nominate for more than one party.
2.) If not enough users participate to represent all the states (Which I know there won't be), I will assign the participants states to represent via RandomWheel.
3.) Yes, you can nominate users who aren't active on the site. Even banned users, too (Say, create a "Banned Party" with TheWolverine as your nominee).
4.) For the primaries, whoever is associated with the political party per primary will chose/be given states to represent in the primaries (Anyone not a part of that party, obviously, can't vote in that specific primary)
5. To keep things from being as confusing as actual primaries are, we'll go by the basic electoral college map, the one who reaches 270 wins (In case they don't reach 270, we'll go by the majority winner)
6. For the general election, everyone will be given states (They have the chance to grab at least 5 states, 1 they get to chose, 4 are assigned to them [That way they won't rig it and go directly for the bigger states])
7. Any remaining states will be distributed randomly to each user.
8. The voting results will be posted by your's truly.
Alright, let's start the game! We'll need at most, 4 political parties. I'll represent the "Banned Party", and I cast my nominee vote for Todd Phillips.
