The New Cartoon Network Logo

Who else thinks this logo is bad and they need to change it back? It's not something I'll get used to, it's been this way for 11 years now and it's still bad. Here's a comparison:

Old (Classic, amazing, beautiful, memorable, and iconic):

New (Forgettable, bad, boring, bland, and lame):

Newer new (Just as bad as the original new):

Seriously, only two letters?! Come on! The checkerboard design was so cool and it doesn't show that off with only two letters. Come on!

When they started using the current logo, I didn't even know they changed it. I was also already fond of the 2nd logo. I'm also sensing much bias.

The current logo is bland, but it could be worse. At least i still has a nice font and the checkerboard adds some interest.

Current Logo of Cartoon network >>>>>>> Current logo of Nick

I'm not much of a marketer but a logo is the company's image, and you dont want your company to have an image of moving backwards. Besides all Cartoon Network is doing is keeping up with the current trend of minimalism. Sure you may not like the trend but it has became popular as a design.
I disagree. So many companies nowadays are focused on nostalgia elements. You definitely want to move backwards to a certain extent.

Not all companies need to focus on old, nostalgia logos. Change isn't bad at all.

It makes them more money if they change. Most overdo it to the point of being lame, but CN needs to do it just a little because the old logo was better. The new logo is awful.

That's not true at all. New logos being awful is not a fact and CN doesn't need to change anything for you or any of people who hates new logo. If almost every people really wanted CN to bring back old logo, they would already do it. CN stopped focusing on cartoons in 2009 and a lot people didn't like it, so CN brought back animation again. It seems that some people accepted the new logo and they are fine with that.

I don't mind it at all, it's kinda bland, but it could be a lot worse. Many companies (Nickelodeon included) switch to a new logo that doesn't resemble the old one even in the slightest, at least the current Cartoon Network logo bears more of a resemblance to their original logo than the second one does

Phew, I thought this was about the logo changing again.

Anyways, I'm fine with the current logo, since the previous one reeks 2000s all over. :rofl2:

Yeah I don't really know why they decided to change it back to the original style but change the font. I mean, really, just use the original logo. It appears at the end of the shows anyway, so it would do them good to have a bit of consistency. Everyone knows it's *the* Cartoon Network logo anyway. Just use it!

I remember when they introduced that 'CN' logo in 2004 - I never really understood that because nobody ever calls it CN, it's Cartoon Network. And they have the full name underneath anyway. Stupid. The 'city' era was great though.
