While Eugene Krabs became a box office and mainstream action star hit with Mr. Krabs and its 2011 sequel, Mr. Krabs 2: Even Krabbier, he decided to take a break from film until coming back with a bang in 2013 with David Fincher's comedy-drama take on the western genre, The Worms of Bikini Bottom, where he played leading man to up-and-coming Texan actress Sandy Cheeks. The film got snubbed by the Oscars but Krabs won a Golden Globe for his work and Sandy got nominated for one.

Ever since Eugene Krabs' groundbreaking performance in "Squeaky Boots", he had taken on the roles of many iconic and complex characters. One of these characters included "Mr. Krabs", whom he portrayed in the 2001 film "Band Geeks". The film was about a depressed octopus named "Squidward Tentacles", who decided to create an elite marching band in order to take on his rival, Squilliam Fancyson. Though the film was a bomb at the box office, it was critically acclaimed for it's themes of diversity, particuarly with the "Mr. Krabs" character, who is insulted by a blue fish. The fish claimed that Krabs had "big, meaty claws", which caused chaos on the set.

In 2003, Eugene Krabs underwent an incredible physical transformation in order to play the famed swordfighter Ed Crustacean in the biopic Claws of a Fighter, based on Crustacean's autobiography, One Krabs Trash. He had to first drop 30 pounds in order to play the Crustacean's weaker self, then go through amazing physical workouts and put on muscle to portray Crustacean as he becomes a champion. This climactic scene from the film is often said to be one of Krabs's finest works.

The skeleton fight shocked audiences because of the graphics and the performance by Mr. Eugene. His weight loss made women (and some men) die by magazines claiming him the sexiest man of the year. Critics said it was one of the most memorable performances by him and it will forever stay in the history of movies. It made fans of Krabs wild and making crazy guesses to his next movie. Everyone loves this glorious scene, we hope for even moar movie scenes with the wonderful Crustacean that will make all of us hanging on the edge of our seats.

Only some of the more devoted Eugene Krabs fans will know that from 2011-2012, he had a stint on Broadway playing the greedy Hugh Crab in the musical "Selling Out". This musical took a satirical look at the corporate, money-obsessed beast that is the fast food industry. "Selling Out" wasn't a complete critical darling but critics and audiences alike have been charmed by Krabs once again. He is currently working to produce a film version of the musical, with the (controversial) decision to have Larry the Lobster play Hugh Crab.

"Cha-Ching" has become one of the most popular songs from the musical.

In 2002, Mr. Krab's uploaded a video on YouTube entitled "Bee Bee Boo Bop?" which he preformed a difficult and extremely talented, choreographed robot dance to the tune of "Electric Zoo". The video was a viral hit and reached in 200+ million views within only roughly a month's span of time. He not only made his dance signature and legendary, but increased the profit of the person who had originally made the song he dance to. Mr. Krabs spawned countless merchandise with his trendy robot talk lingo to the kids and grossed nearly ten million dollars in sales.

On October 18, 2013, Mr. Krabs caused a stir by appearing as a bloodthirsty homicidal maniac in the Em. R. Lemon film, "Mr Krabs' Unquenchable Bloodlust." The film was universally panned by critics for its sensational and gratuitous violence, though praised for its extremely innovative special effects. However, the film is a beloved cult classic among slasher fans for its excellent pacing and complex characterization. "Mr Krabs' Unquenchable Bloodlust" is often packaged with "Squidward's Suicide" as a double feature DVD.

Eugene H. Krabs has stated in interviews that despite the film's negative reception, he is "proud" of his work in the film, claiming that it required him to "really push his acting chops." Despite this, he has been open about his disdain for co-star Spongebob Squarepants, who he considered to be "a conceited diva of the highest order" and "an absolute pain in the a$$" to work with. Actor Mr. Squarepants has spoken more warmly about his time working on the film, claiming that "working with Mr. Krabs was the biggest honor of my life. I was starstruck, he was such a gentleman." Supporting actor Patrick Star claims that Krabs's extreme method acting caused him to have a breakdown on set, fleeing the room in terrified tears, apparently "forgetting that he was in a film," according to Krabs. Squidward Q Tentacles, who composed the score for the film and made a cameo appearance as one of the victims, quipped in one interview, "They're all idiots. I hated everyone who worked on this Neptune-foresaken movie."

In the April of 2014, the film yet again sparked controversy due to allegations of it being a snuff film. Krabs was taken to court and accused of multiple homicides. To prove his innocence, Krabs brought several of his co-actors from the film to court, to show that they were alive and well. Spongebob even performed a short impromptu tap dance, which delighted the jury. The charges against Eugene H Krabs were dropped, though the judge remarked, "Note to self; watch out for Mr Krabs."

Eugene Krabs hosted Saturday Night Live on March 6, 2010 (with musical guest Zeus the Guitar Lord) and became a viral hit yet again with his "Winning" digital sketch, in which he plays a cocky actor who has deluded himself into thinking he is the center of the universe. This video was further proof of Krabs's comedic chops and he was offered a wealth of guest roles on comedic shows like The Office, Modern Family, and 30 Rock. The Big Bang Theory expressed interest in making him a recurring cast member, but in a public statement, Krabs said he refused to stoop to doing "the lowest form of comedy". Charlie Sheen claimed that Krabs stole the "Winning" idea from him, but the two managed to settle the issue out of court and now they're golf buddies.

From 2005-2008, Eugene Krabs was in a relationship with Bikini Bottom driving instructor Mrs. Puff. They were often a favored target of the paparazzi, who Krabs threatened to knock out with his claws that "aren't just for mating". Eugene has kept quiet about the reason for the split, but it is implied that there were issues with the couple's scheduling--Eugene was busy acting and Mrs. Puff had to deal with insufferable students at her boating school. There was some drama in 2007 when Mrs. Puff's previous arrest record was leaked to various gossip tabloids and Krabs sued them all. He won, of course, because you don't mess with Eugene H. Krabs when it comes to lawsuits.

TMZ has secret footage of the pair's first meeting at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

After The Steamed Crab, Eugene took the greatest risk of his life and starring in a ::dolphin noise:: film titled "Good Grief, He's Naked!" It received mixed reviews and Eugene was given a lot of criticism in his work in the film.

An up-and-coming indie director, Fred Rechid, saw Krabs's work in the Krusty Krab commercial and the "Selling Out" musical and decided to cast Eugene in his debut film Penny Foolish. It was a psychological thriller about a man driven insane in his quest to acquire as much money as possible, even going so far as to stalk and harass an employee. It wasn't a box office success but has gained some critical acclaim since first premiering at the Sundance Film Festival.
Fred Rechid had nothing but praise for Mr. Krabs, even though the crustacean did throw Fred out of his trailer while doing a bit of method acting. "My leg is fine now," Rechid assured.

Eugene Krabs' career began in 1999, where he played a supporting role in the comedy-drama film, "Help Wanted". Krabs portrayed the greedy and cynical "Mr. Krabs" owner of the easting establishment, "The Krusty Krab". In the film, he enlisted a seasponge (played by SpongeBob SquarePants) to go to the store to reclaim a "hydrodynamic spatula with port and starboard attachments and a turbo drive", thus settling the events of the film. In what is said to be one of the film's most famous scenes, Krabs detected the "smelly smell" of anchovies attempting to enter the eating establishment. Krabs' performance was heavily praised, and was nominated for a Golden Globe, but lost to Patrick Star for his performance in "Bubblestand"
