Squilliam Fancyson - in Back to the Past

Sorry, if this has already been done. (And it most definitely has).

Anyway, I found out he had a cameo in an episode I'd never seen... So, I finally got the episode in English, and I had to wonder about the voice actor. The credits say that it was Squilliam's usual voice, Dee Bradley Baker, but it didn't sound like him to me. Sounded more like Squidward's Roger Bumpass. I'm pretty sure that the credits are mistaken and that Roger Bumpass did the voice - or else Dee Bradley Baker can do Squidward perfectly.

Any info about this?

Really, you're sure?

Maybe I am.

Well...
Listening to it again and again, I'm pretty sure that... I'm not wrong. Either actor could've said that line. I also know that Dee Bradley Baker has done quite a few different voices in SB, so it wouldn't surprise me that he'd sound like Squidward. (Also, it was a very short line, with no expressiveness.) So, "hearing things", I don't think so.. rather "not hearing things", definitely.

In German, it doesn't even matter, 'cause they both have the same voice.

I just saw the episode for the first time and yeah I noticed his voice was off. My guess is Dee just read the line very strangely it also could been intentional as Squilliam just sounded more depressed then usual. So they might have had Dee read the line like that on purpose.

Yeah, that's the only thing that makes sense to me too, since I posted this originally; as the line is generally said in a listless monotone.

Oh, you have NO idea!

But, also, I have a serious thing for voices, period - so this type of thing happens often to me. (I can recognise Squidward's German voice actor in other roles, same with Sponge himself. - Picked the former out as doing a voice in the German version of the animated Jackie Chan series; and the later as also voicing the German voice of Steve Urkel, just for example.) And if I am not completely wrong, I think the German voice of Squidward also does the German voice of Yajirobi from DB/Z.
I recognised the voice of Brian Drumming (English Vegeta's first voice) in Gundam Wing, and Scott McNeil (English DBZ's Piccolo) in X-Men Evolution, without knowing the actors had done those other shows..

So, voices are just a big thing to me.

Well they do have to get money, so they do other roles.

Of course, that's not a problem, IMO. I just mean that I looove voices, and enjoy picking them out. And I was originally just wondering about Squilliam in that episode, because I couldn't find a difference - at the time I posted it - between Squilliam and Squidward's voice in that moment.

And, just a note: I do, indeed hear Dee Bradley Baker in the episode now, but also still understand why/how I was confused at first.

And now, for a yet another - and new - example of my voice-actor picking-out qualities...

The episode 'Restraining Order'... one of Squidward's lawyers (the bald one) is definitely voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. And he uses ALMOST the same 'accent' that he uses with Squilliam, just somewhat deeper. EDIT: Or it could be Roger Bumpass, but I don't think so.

(I'm sure everyone else knew that already, but I have only just now seen the episode in English, and as soon as I heard the voice, it was a 'bam!' moment of realisation.)

I'm also pretty sure I recognise the voice of 'Harry' the Lawyer, as well.... I think it's the voice of Nick Withers from 'House Fancy'... but that's a little harder to pick out. I know I know it, but am not sure about the placement.

Again, please note: You all probably know all this, and I'm sure it can be checked online - I'm just doing it from ear, so I may be wrong. And I will look it up in a bit.
