i was saying how it always wins kcas but yeah i realize they mean nothing so spongebob for both categories

And the times it does get nominated it's always a joke, anyone remember Company Picnic of all episodes being nominated for a "serious" award show?

to be fair, Star vs. got an Emmy award...
Yeah I know popular shows do get nominated, but I still don't get employee's point. They seem to judge fairly and a bunch of things from many companies get nominated, so how is it a popularity contest?

I’m not dumping on the Emmys specifically, I’ve just always found award shows to be trivial. I get that movies and shows earning trophies is a sign of achievement to the producers of said works, but to me all it says is “this movie/show was liked by 10 critics who sat around a table, who strive to see SpongeBob on the same merit as Birdman”.

I see the appeal of Annies, Emmies, Oscars and Golden Globes etc, but it’s not something I’d make a big deal out of.
