New backgrounds, icons and sound effects will feature SpongeBob SquarePants and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Nickelodeon has patnered with Nintendo to introduce a series of new customisations for the 3DS and 2DS systems.

New backgrounds, icons and sound effects to grace the handheld devices can now feature characters including SpongeBob and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The new themes for the Home Menu on the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 2DS and New Nintendo 3DS will be available in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and South Africa.

I really hope they come to other countries, I would love to get some.

...When did TMNT start to be on everything? Even if it is it's such a classic still lasting from the 80's so it deserves it.

Am I the only one who thinks it's robbery that they are charging you for themes for the menu? Who spends all their time on the 3DS just looking at the menu?
