According to this IGN article, Microsoft believes Sony will release a slim version of the PlayStation 5 later this year. I actually found this out from a YouTube community post by the IGN YouTube channel.

Knowing how much trouble Sony went through to get just the normal PS5 to store shelves, I'm expecting another round of pain for this too.
It's official. The PlayStation 5 Slim is legit and launching next month according to this IGN article. I can confirm that there are multiple other sources.
