90: The Masterpiece

This is probably the Spongebob episode with the worst structure. The pacing is so phenomenally bad that a few brain cells escaped my mind. There's not even any other problems with the episode: it's just the pacing! It isn't as apparent as House Sittin' for Sandy but it's still so obvious. Let me go more into depth. We waste about two minutes with some opening time shenanigans, waste four minutes with a poor spying concept, etilist Squidward, three minutes with actually making the statue and THEN The Masterpiece from the title finally comes into the episode! And then a predictable joke (just like all the other jokes in this episode) and then the writers actually came up with an ending. I it's as if the writers realised that stories need endings and then shoehorned it in! Ridiculous.
Verdict: far from a masterpiece
Clue for next one: Grammar Nazis frown at the title of thus episode.
