Remember the two Every Simpsons Ever marathons, the first one way back in 2015, and the second one on Thanksgiving last year? Why doesn’t Nickelodeon do a marathon with SpongeBob, most likely for the 20th anniversary in 2019 (which is also the year the third movie comes out)? Would anyone be down with that?

no.

Nickelodeon already reruns SpongeBob too much. Making that will make the show even more popular, other shows wouldn't get that chance and Nick will hold on to SpongeBob for more and more years.

Nickelodeon practically did this already with the Ultimate SpongeBob SpongeBash back in July 2009. Besides, the channel has already become the "SpongeBob Network", and doing something like this would be pushing it.

I wish they had a marathon of SpongeBob every Thursday for some reason (for Nick GR)

But so does The Simpsons on FXX.
The thing with The Simpsons is that it has nearly triple the amount of episodes, so it's easier to make such long marathons out of it. Plus it didn't get the SpongeBob treatment of already getting rerun over and over during its time on FOX, so the general public is a little less sick of it.

It's possible, but it does have enough airings on the channel.

Clearly it's pointless when aired on regular Nick, but I guess they could try it out on Nicktoons.
You do have a point, after all, they did had a marathon on Nicktoons. But I want the marathon to be on Nickelodeon, at least with a special episode.
