INT. SHINING TIME STATION - DAY

MR. CONDUCTOR is admiring the old Shining Time Station, clearly lost in nostalgic thoughts.

MR. CONDUCTOR

sighs

What a beautiful sight. The memories, the history... it's all so magical.

Suddenly, MR. CONDUCTOR hears voices and disappears in a puff of smoke.

Enter GOGGINS and JULIAN, walking into the station through its entrance. GOGGINS is showing JULIAN around the old station, clearly proud of her work.

GOGGINS

proudly

And this is the arcade, and over there is the ticket desk. Just imagine, passengers bustling about, trains coming and going... it's going to be amazing.

MR. CONDUCTOR reappears when JULIAN begins to dust around his house in the mural.

MR. CONDUCTOR

sarcastically

Oh, look at you, such a good worker. Just like my dear friend Thomas the Tank Engine.

MR. CONDUCTOR proceeds to tell JULIAN a story about THOMAS when he was a station pilot.

Cue "Thomas Gets Tricked".

ALF arrives and GOGGINS shows him the new workshop.

ALF

impressed

Wow, I've never had my own workshop before.

JULIAN tries to help ALF, but ALF sends him off.

MR. CONDUCTOR reappears and tells JULIAN a story about EDWARD the Blue Engine.

Cue "Edward Helps Out".

Later, ALF decides to stay at Shining Time.

MARGO, EDITH, AGNES O.S.

angrily

We don't like this place!

MR. CONDUCTOR appears next to ALF, a mischievous glint in his eye.

MR. CONDUCTOR

smirking

Well, too bad. You're stuck here forever.

ALF then asks JULIAN to get his toolbox, making him happy.

JULIAN

excitedly

Yes sir, right away!

After JULIAN asks him why he decided to stay, ALF replies with a sly smile.

ALF

mockingly

Oh, there's just something about this place. Can't quite put my finger on it.

MR. CONDUCTOR appears next to ALF once again, a knowing look in his eyes.

MR. CONDUCTOR

sarcastically

Oh, I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually. Good luck with that, Alf.

smirks and disappears

As ALF continues his work, the camera zooms out to reveal the old Shining Time Station in all its chaotic, yet charming glory.

Episode 3
INT. SHINING TIME STATION - DAY
The phone rings at Shining Time Station. Mr. Conductor and Goggins are working at the counter.
MR. CONDUCTOR sarcastic
MR. CONDUCTOR
answering the phone
Hello, Shining Time Station. How may I help you?
pause
Oh, it's the main office on the Indian Valley Railroad? How exciting.
GOGGINS
excitedly
What do they want?
MR. CONDUCTOR
sarcastically
Oh, just to tell us about a new train arriving and to make a new schedule for it.
GOGGINS
smugly
Don't worry, I'll remember it. No need to write it down.
After a little procrastination, Goggins actually forgets to make the schedule.
MR. CONDUCTOR
shocked
Oh no, what happened? I thought you had it all under control.
Mr. Conductor then proceeds to tell a story to the others about how mistakes happen when people are impatient, just like the time Thomas the Tank Engine tried to pull his first passenger train.
cue "A Big Day For Thomas"
Later, Goggins finally makes the schedule, but unfortunately makes a mistake on it.
This causes a train passenger to miss his train and he gets very upset.
ALF
trying to cheer up the passenger
Don't worry, we'll make you some instruments to play while you wait for the next train.
Alf and Julian start making instruments, but they are quickly destroyed by Alf's daughters Margo, Edith, and Agnes.
MR. CONDUCTOR
to the girls
Well, looks like you're stuck at Shining Time Station forever. Better get used to it.
Mr. Conductor then proceeds to teach Alf and Julian about real instruments.
After that, Julian and Mr. Conductor help Goggins and make her realize that people often make mistakes, but that it can be good as long as they learn from them, just like Thomas did when he dealt with some troublesome freight cars.
cue "Trouble for Thomas"
EDITH
interrupting mr. conductor
Shut up about Thomas, we don't like this stupid station anyway.
Edith then proceeds to nearly crush Mr. Conductor in her anger.
The train passenger finally catches a new train and plays with Julian until his train arrives.
MARGO
bitterly
Good riddance! If only we could go with him.
THE END

Episode 4
EXT. SHINING TIME STATION - DAY
We see SELBY, a desperate salesman, trying to sell his broken kettle to GOOGINS, the station's resident. She's not interested.
SELBY
Come on, it's a vintage piece! Perfect for your collection.
GOOGINS
No, thank you. I already have a broken clock to deal with. I don't need another broken thing in my life.
SELBY gives up and starts to leave but trips over his shoelace.
SELBY
sarcastic
Oh great, just what I needed. Another broken thing in my life.
JULIAN, a young boy, finds a piece of string and GOOGINS tells him a story about her deceased grandmother.
GOOGINS
My grandmother always said, "A piece of string can fix anything."
MARGO, EDITH, AND AGNES, ALF'S DAUGHTERS, INTERRUPT.
MARGO
We don't want to hear about your grandmother, thank you very much.
MR. CONDUCTOR
arrivingYou girls are in luck because you're stuck at this wonderful place forever.
AGNES
sarcastic
Oh joy, just what I always wanted.
AGNES tries to leave but gets stuck in the muck.
JULIAN
reluctantlyI'll help you.
MR. CONDUCTOR
smirking
Don't you feel good when you help someone out?
MR. CONDUCTOR tells the story of Thomas rescuing James after an accident.
cue "Thomas Saves the Day"
Later, JULIAN is playing with the string but EDITH breaks it on purpose.
ALF is trying to fix an old sign when JULIAN offers him the string. It works.
MR. CONDUCTOR
See, a piece of string can fix anything. Even a train with newspaper.
cue "James Learns a Lesson"
GOOGINS is looking for oil and MR. CONDUCTOR helps her find it.
SELBY comes by and again trips over his shoelace. He's had enough and decides to take them off.
SELBY
sarcastic
Who needs shoelaces anyway?
JULIAN gives SELBY the string and SELBY gives him the broken kettle as a thank you. But MARGO tries to take it and breaks it again.
ALF helps GOOGINS fix her clock and it finally runs again.
sarcastic
Well, that was worth breaking a kettle for.

Episode 6
INT. SHINING TIME STATION - DAY
We see JULIAN sitting on a bench, looking dejected and sad.
JULIAN
sighing
Why does everything bad always happen to me?
ALF's daughters, MARGO, EDITH, and AGNES, approach him.
MARGO
What's wrong, Julian?
JULIAN
Alf can't take me fishing today because of a broken signal box.
EDITH
Well, I hope Mr. Conductor doesn't come today then.
ALF
interrupting
Work before play, girls.
GOGGINS
scolding
And let's not forget that everyone has important jobs to do here at Shining Time Station.
GOGGINS hands JULIAN a package.
GOGGINS
smirking
Here, I got you a little something to cheer you up.
JULIAN opens the package to reveal MR. CONDUCTOR inside.
MR. CONDUCTOR
to the girls
You know, you're all stuck at Shining Time Station forever because Alf lives here.
to JULIAN
But let me tell you about a conductor that Thomas the Tank Engine once left behind, it'll teach you about patience.
cue "Thomas and the Conductor"
GOGGINS
smirking again
See, Julian? Don't let one bad thing ruin your day.
AGNES
demanding
I want a lollipop for putting up with Mr. Conductor.
But just as JULIAN is about to start feeling better, he notices the time.
MR. CONDUCTOR
Oh dear, it looks like you won't be able to go fishing after all.
to JULIAN
Just like Thomas the Tank Engine had the same dilemma.
cue "Thomas Goes Fishing"
JULIAN looks disappointed and defeated.
MR. CONDUCTOR
But don't lose faith in Alf, Julian. I'm sure he'll find a way for you to go fishing.
Suddenly, ALF arrives in his train.
ALF
Hop on, Julian. We're going to fix that signal box and finally go fishing.
JULIAN's face lights up with excitement as he climbs aboard the train.
But just as the train starts moving, EDITH climbs up and accidentally breaks the signal box again.
JULIAN
sarcastically
Oh, what a surprise.
The train stops and everyone looks disappointed.
But as the train pulls away, we see ALF and JULIAN laughing and having a great time fishing.
MR. CONDUCTOR
voiceover
See, Julian? Patience is a virtue.
The END.

Episode 9
EXT. SHINING TIME STATION - DAY
At Shining Time Station, Goggins waltzes in with the mail, as if she's the hero of the day.
GOGGINS
smugly
Ah, mail delivery, the most important job in the world.
JULIAN
sarcastically
Yes, because getting junk mail and bills is the highlight of everyone's day.
GOGGINS
smirking Speak for yourself, Julian. I got a letter from my secret admirer.
ALF
sadly I didn't get any mail. It's my birthday and no one remembered.
MARGO
smirking Oh right, your birthday. How could we forget?
EDITH
chiming in We should totally throw him a surprise party!
AGNES
nodding Yes! And Julian will do all the work.
JULIAN
grumbling Great, just what I wanted to do on my day off - plan a party for someone who doesn't even appreciate it.
After a while, Alf nearly catches them in the act. They quickly shoo him away and move to another location.
Meanwhile, Alf is sent to fetch a box of "cheese giggles" for Selby, who is grumbling about not having them.
MR. CONDUCTOR
to the girls, in a hushed tone You know, you're stuck here forever because Alf lives here, right?
cue "Percy Runs Away"
MARGO
excitedly Mr. Conductor, will you help us with the surprise party?
MR. CONDUCTOR
worried I don't know, Alf doesn't seem to like me very much.
Alf returns, still grumbling about Selby and his "cheese giggles".
MR. CONDUCTOR
to Alf Hello, I'm Mr. Conductor. Nice to meet you.
But he can't seem to get the words out, so the girls step in to help with the party.
Just then, Selby arrives and notices two boxes of "cheese giggles". He takes one, thinking it's the real deal, and puts it in the machine, while taking the other one home.
When Julian comes back, he forgets about the cake and Margo decides to take matters into her own hands, smashing the cake because she "doesn't like the station".
MR. CONDUCTOR
kindly Don't worry Julian, I'll make you a new one.
Just as Goggins arrives, they realize the box of presents is missing.
SELBY
panicked Oh no, my "cheese giggles" box is gone!
Alf yells at Selby for not fetching the boxes himself, causing Selby to be very confused.
MARGO
explaining We were having a surprise party for you, Alf.
Even Selby joins in on the plan, feeling guilty for his mistake.
JULIAN
embarrassed Hey, Selby, why don't you give Alf some of your nickels as a gift?
But he quickly adds, "not that he'll use them to leave this wonderful place".
After the party, Alf realizes it was the best birthday ever. Just as the mail train arrives, filled with birthday cards for him.
Later, Alf and Mr. Conductor start talking about the presidential train and realize they have a lot in common.
ALF
smiling This was truly the best birthday ever.
MR. CONDUCTOR
grinning I couldn't agree more, Alf. And hey, maybe we're not so different after all.
They continue talking for a very long time, while the girls watch with amusement.

INT. SHINING TIME STATION - DAY
Margo, Edith, and Agnes, Alf's daughters, are building a tower, while Julian watches on.
JULIAN
excitedly
Wow, that tower is really coming along!
ALF
sarcastic
Oh, I'm so glad you think so, Julian. It's not like I wanted my daughters to actually play with toys or anything.
Julian accidentally knocks down the tower, much to Agnes' dismay.
AGNES
sadly
My tower!
Alf's phone rings, interrupting the drama.
ALF
annoyed
Just what I needed, a call alerting me that a train will be late.
Alf changes the schedule to accommodate the delay.
He then goes to work out on the platform.
Alf gives the kids a note to give to Goggins if he isn't back when she arrives.
Goggins arrives and just as Julian is about to give her the note, an acrobatic group comes in and gives them a performance.
After they leave, Goggins notices the schedule is changed, so she changes it back to the incorrect time.
Unfortunately, the kids forget about the note.
A passenger enters, sees the incorrect sign, and thinks she missed her train when she actually didn't.
PASSENGER
frustrated
Oh great, now I'm stuck here forever.
Alf, Selby, and Goggins enter the scene.
ALF
What's going on here?
The kids tell them about the unhappy passenger.
ALF
to goggins
Did you change the schedule?
GOGGINS
Yes, because obviously I have nothing better to do than fix your mistakes.
Alf explains that he left her a note, but Goggins replies that she never received it.
JULIAN
guilty
Oops, I think we might have forgotten to give it to her.
Goggins goes to find the unhappy passenger, while Selby criticizes the kids.
MR. CONDUCTOR
sarcastic
Oh, don't worry kids, you'll be stuck at Shining Time Station forever because Alf lives here.
Mr. Conductor then tells the girls a story about Henry the Green Engine having problems.
cue "Henry's Special Coal"
Afterwards, he suggests that they make rhymes to cheer up Goggins.
When Goggins returns, they try out their rhymes on her.
MARGO
proudly
See, we can be helpful!
Selby walks in and Mr. Conductor asks him if he wants to hear their rhymes.
SELBY
smirking
Oh, I can't wait to waste my time listening to your childish rhymes.
Selby catches himself and tries to make a rhyme.
SELBY
To make a rhyme is a waste of time.
He catches himself again and makes two more terrible rhymes.
Later, Mr. Conductor is fixing his roof when he falls off the ladder.
EDITH
concerned
Are you okay?
MR. CONDUCTOR
Oh, of course, everyone has accidents. Just like Henry the Green Engine.
cue "The Flying Kipper"
Goggins tells Julian a poem she wrote for him.
EDITH
jealous
Oh, I don't like the station. *spills ink on the poem*
Goggins folds the paper in half and opens it back up, revealing an ink picture.
The passenger returns and Goggins apologizes for the incorrect sign.
GOGGINS
insincerely
Oh, silly me, I must have just changed the schedule for fun.
Julian tries to carry her bag to the platform, but everything spills out.
GOGGINS
smiling
Well, look at that, you didn't miss your train after all.
GOGGINS
to the kids
You know, some accidents can actually be quite happy.
