Season 4: fluent animation

As we already know Season 4 came after the movie and way before the animation got sterile and stiff (mid-S7) Season 4 has very fluent animation it almost looks 3D, even though it was traditionally animated
digitally. I think it does have the most fluent animation, next to S1, although the cel animation coud look frequently ugly and scary at times.

YES. I'm glad someone else acknowledged this. I love Season 4's animation because of how lively and fluent it is. It was the perfect balance of the first 3 seasons, with some interesting and new designs. You can tell they tried to replicate the movie with some of these designs.

Season 4 is both fluid and fluent in animation.

I like the look and sound of season 4 (except SpongeBob's voice). It really feels like a continuation of season 3.
