Rick and Morty Fans Freak Out Over Szechuan Sauce

McDonalds brought back Szechuan Sauce, but only at select locations and with only 20 packets per location. Rick and Morty fans went nuts and harassed minimum wage employees over it. Fights started. Cops were called. Total disaster!

Now personally, I love Rick and Morty, but wow, this fanbase can be ridiculous. Although, at the same time, what was McDonalds thinking? If you’re going to release it at all, you need to give people more than that. But at the same time, it’s not that big of a deal.

Thoughts?

I'm a fan of the show, and while bummed put my location wasn't carrying the sauce, I didn't freak out or anything. In a way, I think it is very immature of the fans to act like idiots, but at the same time, McDonald's should've took advantage of the free publicity Rick and Morty has given them. They shouldn't have handled the return in such a restrictive, and foolish manner.

one thing I'll agree with them is that what McDonalds did was stupid and crappy. You could have made a big profit from selling that sauce, especially how there are tons of Rick and Morty fans like me but instead they thought selling only 20 sauces in a few places is a brilliant idea. Yeah, I was bummed out they didn't sell that sauce in my country but fans have no right to freak out and harass McDonalds for one sauce. I love Rick and Morty so much but as you can see some popular shows have a big fanbase and some of them are really terrible and annoying people.

I agree that it is a bad business decision with McDonalds, but I can see where they're coming from. I think they should've had these for a limited time, about a month, and make a ton more sauce. But yeah, like all fanbases, there are a handful amount of people go way too far just to get what they want and that's pathetic.

that's cool they even did it in the first place, did Mickey d's even have a tie with the series beforehand

although I wish I knew about this earlier myself (roiland did get a bottle of his own) you can literally find that sauce anywhere (I had some a few days ago from a chinese restaurant) doesn't have to be just from there.

What happened was appealing. I don't want this to affects my opinions on the show itself, but the fans are acting so immature over one sauce.
