Really old Nickelodeon IDs (1984-1991)

The dinosaurs need to come back. They were the coolest

I watch so much old Nick recordings that I've seen most of these...
Frederator is awesome for uploading lots of their old cool nick stuff

Have you read the Fred/Alan archive blog?

Lots of cool stuff about the history of MTV, VH1, the rebranding of Nickelodeon, and the launch of Nick at Nite. First found it a couple of years ago but visit it every so often. Lots of video with IDs and stuff too.

Yeah I've looked at some of that before.. lots of awesome stuff
I was really happy when he started putting old sections of "Oh Yeah! Cartoons" on Vimeo... I was almost able to completely my collection.
Kinda makes me sad knowing that they put out Fanboy and chum chum.. but they've still got great classics

I want to cry after watching that. I will always think of Nickeodeon as "Nick nick nick nick nick nick nick nick Nickelodeon!" Never anything else. I don't understand why they don't just update the color and animation of that before they rebranded and just used those as commercials. Save a buttload of money.

Watched it again.

Wish they would release these on DVD. I would place a bet on that being the biggest DVD sale Nick has ever had.

I love watching these on end. My favorite part about old Nick is that it was so out there. Up to the late 90s, a lot of the shows that Nick ran were all very surrealist. I think this is why a lot of people my age like Adventure Time and Regular Show, because we watched all those strange cartoons (Zim, Rocko, Real Monsters, early Rugrats) when we were kids.
