Powerpuff Girls Reboot Coming 2016

If I had $10 for every reboot that's been announced recently...xD

The only thing I'm disappointed with about hearing PPG will have a reboot is that Craig McCracken isn't going to be involved:

I'm wonder what type of look the new show will take. Will it be the same as the special? I know tons of fans will complain bout that...will it be closer to the design of the original? If it's a reboot, they're bound to make it look different in some way...will it be a completely new style we've never seen before? I'm so curious...

Whatever ends up happening, I hope it good!

PPG = Yes

PPG - Craig McCracken = This will be interesting

NO NO NO! Sure it was good, even though I like Foster's and Wander more, PPG was always a hit or miss show for me, mostly hit. Here's my problem, IT ENDED ON A GOOD NOTE! Not counting the episode this year, because it messed up why Utonium became a scientist (IT WAS SHOWN DIFFERENTLY IN AN EPISODE DURING THE MARATHON FOR IT FOR PETE'S SAKE!), and I don't think it's necessary that it needs a reboot at all.

I knew something was up.

I didn't want to make a new thread.

We have some more news:

Spin Master will be making the toys

That picture was on the linked website, I have no idea if it's from the upcoming series or not.

"The Powerpuff Girls toy line will empower fans of all ages to believe that like Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup, they, too, can save the world before bedtime.”
Cartoon Network has signed Spin Master as the global master toy partner for next year's reboot of The Powerpuff Girls.
The global franchise is set to launch in 2016 and the deal will see Spin Master create a full line of products including plush, figures and playsets, dolls, and role play, select electronic, activity and remote control toys, and novelty and impulse items.
The product will begin its global retail rollout in Q3 2016.

“As we build our roster of partners to launch The Powerpuff Girls licensing programme and introduce a new generation of fans to this cherished franchise, Spin Master embodies the qualities we’re looking to infuse into our products,” said Pete Yoder, vice president, Cartoon Network Enterprises, North America.
“Working together, we’ve seen firsthand the level of innovation and excitement they bring to their products, and we’re confident that through play, The Powerpuff Girls toy line will empower fans of all ages to believe that like Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup, they, too, can save the world before bedtime.”
Craig Sims, Spin Master’s vice president global licensing, added: "The partnership between The Powerpuff Girls and Spin Master strengthens our strategic relationship with Cartoon Network that began with the launch of the award-winning Bakugan brand in 2008 and is the perfect brand to continue pushing the boundaries of fun for our consumers,"
"Together, we’re creating unexpected and highly interactive play experiences you won’t find anywhere else.”

I thought there was already a reboot?

No...there was Powerpuff Girls Z, but that was an anime, and "Dance Pantsed" was only a special.

That picture of The Powerpuff Girls being drawn is the new design. I like it as there are only slight differences such as Blossom's bow being bigger and Buttercup having a plaster.

Powerpuff Girls is awesome, but everything seems to be a reboot nowadays :|

I'll still check it out.

Spongebob/Adventure Time art director Nick Jennings is apparently set to be executive producer.

Nick Jenning's full list of shows

Rocko's Modern Life - Art Director
CatDog - Art Director
SpongeBob SquarePants - Co-Developer and Art Director for season 1-4 and first movie
Adventure Time - Art Director, Painter, Writer and Head of the Animation Department.

Now all we need is an EEnE reboot.

Um, why? Big Picture Show ended Ed, Edd, n' Eddy on a satisfying note, and the show already ran for ten years. What would be the point?

As for PPG itself, I never grew up with the show so I don't know it as well as most other people would. I've seen some episodes here and there, and it's an entertaining enough show but it's never really caught my interest. This reboot isn't anything I'm excited about, honestly.

I actually cannot wait. I just hope it doesn't suck, although I'm not asking for it to be as good as the original Powerpuff Girls.

The original voices actresses aren't returning

This makes SBRoxMan sad :patsad:

I don't mind, other shows have had many different voice actors:

Scooby Doo
TMNT
Pokemon
Rugrats had some
