Possible Political and Moral Messages in Spongebob

Pinhead Larry

The Fountain of Squidward
Some people may identify political and moral messages in some episodes. Personally, few of them bother me, or are even NOTICEABLE

  • Squid on Strike - Anti-Worker, Anti-Trade Unions
  • Selling Out - Anti-Globalisation, Anti-Corporation
  • Kracked Krabs - Theft is justified
  • Fry Cook Games - Anti-Competition, Internationalism
  • SpongeBob's Last Stand - Environmentalism
  • Jellyfish Hunter, Sanctuary, Pet or Pests - Pro-Animal Welfare
  • Krabby Kronicle - Anti-Press
  • Can You Spare A Dime? - Many connotations
  • Sun Bleached - Possible Racism
  • MM/BB VI - Pro-Elderly
  • I'm Your Biggest Fanatic - Anti-Hero Worship
  • Nature Pants - Materialism
  • Accidents Will Happen, Patty Caper, many Plankton episodes - Justice
  • Hooky, Face Freeze - Consequences
  • Ditchin' - Respect Authority
  • Grandpappy the Pirate - Don't Be Someone You're Not
  • Someone's In The Kitchen With Sandy, Pranks A Lot - Anti-Nude
Others also noticed

  • The Abrasive Side (Appetizer), and Walking Small (Sponge Who Can't Fly) - Same as Grandpappy the Pirate
  • Porous Pockets - Don't Let Money Take Over You, Caution (Torts)

Okay, I have some positive morals/messages related to the show

Ripped Pants- Never fake being injured for the lulz. You'll worry all of your friends and cause a lot of trouble.

Chocolate With Nuts- Never judge a book by its cover. The screaming lunatic who wants to kill you? He doesn't want to kill you, he just wants to buy your chocolate. The injured guy? He's a con artist.

Spongeguard On Duty- If someone is drowning, save going in there as a last resort. Because you might drown, too. First, attempt to find professional help from a lifeguard or similar figure.

Suds- Quack medicine will do more harm than good. Never go to a back alley doctor. You could get seriously hurt, or worse.

Pizza Delivery- At every point in the life of a customer service worker, there will be rude customers. It's inevitable, and it's not your fault. It's just a fact.

Help Wanted- if you work REALLY hard and believe in yourself, your dreams will come true. But there's a lot of hard work involved. And people might laugh at you. But work really hard anyway.

Bubblestand- All forms of artistic expression are valid.

The Abrasive Side: You should always remain a doormat for people to ask favors of you because any form of standing up for yourself will make you insufferably mean. Also, you should totally avoid self-improvement at all costs to stay the way you are, even if it's for your own good to avoid basic harm, because noone will be friends with you and you will be miserable. Take this to heart.

No wait they ::dolphin noise::ed it up in the process. I guess it had good intent in trying to say you shouldn't succumb to peer pressure and just be yourself but what they actually implied's flat-out toxic.

They did the same thing in "Walking Small," too. Unfortunately, "The Abrasive Side" didn't have the comedy or goofiness to actually make it a good episode despite the bungled moral.
