There was a new movie that came out end of August, I believe. Phineas and Ferb: Candace Against the Universe

Phineas and Ferb had its time and I'm sure Dan Povenmire & Swampy Marsh have moved on to other projects

I red somewhere that they actually wanted to continue with the series but Disney has the 4 Seasons rule and the show went on too long for Disney.

Disney does have a four season rule, both for animated shows and live action shows

I don't think Phineas and Ferb should be revived for a 5th season. In my opinion, I think "Last Day of Summer" was a perfect way to wrap the show and tie up all of its loose ends. Even with "Act Your Age" (the flash-forward special), they tied up loose ends with Phineas and Isabella's relationship, making them a couple, and Ferb finally got the girl, Vanessa (I don't know what happened between her and Monty though).
