Hello guys,

Did you guys noticed some moments where Patrick was right about Squidward not liking them but SpongeBob denying it?

In the SpongeBob episode ''Jellyfishing'':


  • SpongeBob: You know, Patrick? It always seems like Squidward never has time for fun.
  • Patrick: Maybe he doesn't like us.
  • SpongeBob: No, are you kidding? We're his best friends. [Squidward bikes down a path, cuckling to himself]

In the SpongeBob episode ''SB-129'':


  • SpongeBob: Ready to go?
  • Squidward: No, I'm not ready to go! [slams the door]
  • Patrick: He doesn't wanna play with us.
  • SpongeBob: No, Patrick, he's just not ready. [Squidward tries to play his clarinet but another knock at door] Ready now?

In the SpongeBob episode ''Cephalopod Lodge'':


  • Squidward: [pushes SpongeBob and Patrick out of his house] Out!
  • Patrick: I don't think Squidward wants to join our lodge.
  • SpongeBob: Oh, sure he does. He just needs a little push. [knocks on Squidward's door]

I feel like Patrick is the smartest character inside but he is hiding it.

Patrick is smart, but his brain just isn't plugged in the right way (as seen in Patrick SmartPants). Maybe there's a little intelligence hiding somewhere that doesn't require a plugin.

Exactly! I always find it funny how, from the very start, Patrick always noticed the most obvious things that SpongeBob seemed oblivious to. Or at least noticed when someone didn't want to be around them.
