On one hand, the old balloon was getting tiresome to see every year. But on the other, I don’t know how the general public would react to Gary giving that face, and being 30 feet tall.

I think Gary looks silly, but in a cute sort of way. I feel as though his facial expression fits better within the show, and on a balloon, he might look silly in a bad way.

It's nice to see a non-Christmas themed balloon again, (I always preferred the 2004 balloon anyway) but I don't like Gary's smile. Also SpongeBob is much more of a cube than a rectangle, but whatever. It was honestly about time that they changed the balloon though, by last year the Christmas one was looking VERY old and wrinkled (although, not as much as the 2004 one did in 2012).

Just looked up what it looked like, SpongeBob looked fine, Gary looked like he was tweakin tho lol
