‘’today is your big day Squidward’’ Squidward says as he leaps out of bed
‘’got to hurry’’ he continues as he rushes to the phone
‘’anytime now squiddy’’ he mumbles to himself
The phone starts to ring
‘’he’s here!’’ squidward shouts as he picks up the phone
‘’hello is this mister tentacles’’ the guy on the other line asks
‘’the one and only!’’ squidward exclaims
‘’we wanted to remind you, we’ll arrive for the exclusive interview tomorrow morning’’ the voice at the other line says
Before squidward can get excited he hears SpongeBob and Patrick’s voice in the distance
He looks out the window
‘’you have to catch me Patrick’’ SpongeBob says
‘’well if I catch you, who’ll catch me’’ Patrick asks
‘’good point, there’s only one way to solve this’’ SpongeBob says
While squidward is looking at them through the window he looks to himself and says ‘’they can’t be here when SpongeBob and Patrick are nearby’’
‘’face it squidward, your career is over’’ squidward says
Before squidward can go cry himself to sleep

As the next day rolls around, the interviewers arrive at squidward’s house, they knock at the door

Squidward opens the door
‘’are you squidward tentacles’’ the interviewer asks
‘’Well of course, if I may I-‘’ squidward says before getting cut off by the interviewer
‘’cut the chatter, where is your art gallery’’ the interviewer asks
‘’right over here sir, follow me’’ squidward says
As they make their way to the art gallery
Meanwhile at SpongeBob’s house, SpongeBob and Patrick are baking squidward an apology cake
‘’do you think he’ll like it pat’’ SpongeBob asks
‘’I did’’ Patrick says as he takes a bite of the cake
‘’pat no!’’ SpongeBob says as he takes the slice from Patrick
‘’but it tastes so good’’ Patrick says
‘’it does look pretty good’’ SpongeBob says
SpongeBob continues by saying ‘’a small bite won’t hurt
10 minutes later
SpongeBob and Patrick are laying on the floor with their stomachs full
‘’gee pat, that was the best cake I’ve ever had’’ SpongeBob says
‘’squidward’s gonna be so happy when we give him the rest of the cake’’ Patrick says
SpongeBob looks at the empty plate stands up and shouts
‘’don’t worry I have a plan’’ Patrick says
‘’what’s your plan Patrick’’ SpongeBob asks
‘’what plan?’’ Patrick asks
SpongeBob face palms
‘’how do we apologize to squidward if we have nothing to apologize with’’ Patrick says
‘’we do the unimaginable, we apologize in words’’ SpongeBob says in serious tone

Meanwhile in squidward’s apartment his giving the interviewers a tour of his house
‘’and here we have what I like to call the squidward antique’’ squidward says
‘’this is the million dollar art you promised us, this is a waste of time, do you have anything that looks remotely good’’ the interviewer asks
‘’well my painting collection is a superb masterpiece’’ squidward says
As squidward takes them to his paintings they look around
‘’this is amazing’’ the interviewer says
‘’really!’’ squidward exclaims
‘’these would make great door holders, I’ll take the whole stock’’ the interviewer says
‘’so you don’t love the paintings’’ squidward asks
‘’oh the paintings are horrendous’’ the interviewer says
‘’Bu-but, I-‘’ squidward tries to get a word in, but the interviewer already took the paintings and left the money on the ground
Squidward runs outside to see if the interviewer is nearby, they’re nowhere to be seen
Squidward starts crying
SpongeBob and Patrick hear him in the distance
‘’squidward you forgot how to eat again, don’t worry I’ll take care of you’’ SpongeBob says
‘’no SpongeBob, you don’t understand, I tried so hard, and I still failed, am such a failure’’ squidward says as he cries
‘’they didn’t even like the paintings’’ squidward says
‘’if it makes you feel better, I liked your paintings’’ SpongeBob says

‘’yeah all the wrong colors in it made it look less ugly’’ Patrick says
