I found out on the Nickelodeon HD feed, during March 2008 - July 6, 2009, the Rating bugs were stretched to 16:9.It is you Carlos! Nice to see you here!
Nicktoons U.K. and Ireland used to be a fullscreen channel where all widescreen content was aired in the letterbox format and all fullscreen content covered the entire screen. Then they went widescreen and fullscreen content was a bit zoomed in, but then they found master copies of all fullscreen episodes so now they air in their original aspect ratio.I found out on the Nickelodeon HD feed, during March 2008 - July 5, 2009, the Rating bugs were stretched to 16:9.
But by July 6, 2009, when the rating bugs were changed, they were no longer stretched, so I did how they were used during the time

These were made by me. They are not real, but that’s how they looked like on the HD feed.
For the stretched one, because of the black bars, we couldn’t see it go through, so here is the rating bug itselfView attachment 16262
Fortunately, Nickelodeon HD did not go the same way as Cartoon Network HD, where 4:3 content was aired stretched, including the rating bugs.
I think I know how the Nickelodeon lightbulb logo was made Widescreen. First, they probably zoomed in the 4:3 versi9n a bit, then they continued to fill in the sides to be 16:9Nicktoons U.K. and Ireland used to be a fullscreen channel where all widescreen content was aired in the letterbox format and all fullscreen content covered the entire screen. Or maybe, it was originally made in widescreen but was made, in my terminology, fullscreen-friendly.I think I know how the Nickelodeon lightbulb logo was made Widescreen. First, they probably zoomed in the 4:3 versi9n a bit, then they continued to fill in the sides to be 16:9
More likely, if it was made in widescreen, it would be zoomed in a bit so it wouldn't be like the 4:3 versionOr maybe, it was originally made in widescreen but was made, in my terminology, fullscreen-friendly.
That explains why the 16:9 lightbulb logo was never used at the end of shows on Nickelodeon HDOr maybe, it was originally made in widescreen but was made, in my terminology, fullscreen-friendly.
Yes.That explains why the 16:9 lightbulb logo was never used at the end of shows on Nickelodeon HD
And I am talking about the feed from the US (where I live)Yes.
To be honest, the 4:3 version of the Nickelodeon lightbulb logo is better, especially when it’s upscaled to HD 720p, or HD 1080i/1080p.Yes.

I've always preferred widescreen logos, except when they were made in fullscreen, like the Paramount Animation logo.To be honest, the 4:3 version of the Nickelodeon lightbulb logo is better, especially when it’s upscaled to HD 720p, or HD 1080i/1080p.
If SpongeBob was 16:9 Widescreen as of Season 4, the resolution would be 720p, until 2007-2008ish when the resolution is put to HD 1080i because of HDTVs rolling out for the futureI've always preferred widescreen logos, except when they were made in fullscreen, like the Paramount Animation logo.

What do you mean?I've always preferred widescreen logos, except when they were made in fullscreen, like the Paramount Animation logo.
Here is what the Paramount Animation logo actually looks like:What do you mean?

What I mean by "widescreen logos in fullscreen" is "open-matte logos". I prefer them because the whole of what was made is shown.
Oh, and which version of the Nickelodeon lightbulb logo is better?I've always preferred widescreen logos, except when they were made in fullscreen, like the Paramount Animation logo.
I need time to think about it and will reply with my final verdict soon.Oh, and which version of the Nickelodeon lightbulb logo is better?
