Remember in The Chaperone where SpongeBob says "I couldn't even get a date for my own Junior Prom?" Does this imply that in season 1 Pearl was in between 11-13? Or did SpongeBob imply "junior prom" as Pearl's junior year of high school? Honestly, the first one could make sense since Pearl didn't turn 16 until Whale of a Birthday. But I dunno, SpongeBob probably meant 11th grade and not 6-8.

Especially considering that in some later episodes SB doesn't seem like he's been through 11th grade himself. (I mean, really, in earlier episodes he at least manages to pull of SOME measure of maturity... but that's a whole other debate I won't get into right now...)
She could have possibly joined the 11th grade a year younger like 15. Some people choose to enter school earlier than others.

Maybe SpongeBob is a year older than Pearl and since he couldn't go for his, he would definitely go to hers so she can have the opportunity he never had.

I remember hearing from somewhere that despite this age, Stephen says it wasn't canon to the series. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) Cartoons usually don't age (I always imagined SpongeBob to be 25 or so) that's why I was curious if Pearl did or did not.

In the movie, they referred to SpongeBob as a kid. Could mean two things but I'm sure everyone thought that he was under 18. And seeing as how the movie is considered the end of the series…
