What jokes from SpongeBob episodes always seem to go over your head whenever you see a particular episode? For me:

From "Sandy, SpongeBob, and the Worm":

Fish: Do I really need to say it?

From "The Algae's Always Greener":

Plankton: Hope you like gray.

The first joke is about the guy's butt being eaten by the Alaskan Bullworm. When everyone is listing off things that were eaten by the worm, the camera pans over to this guy, obviously missing his butt. He says "Do I really need to say it?" because it's obvious what the worm took from him.

Squidward said he wanted his view to be "less yellow," meaning that he wanted to get away from Spongebob. Planton said "Hope you like gray" because Squidward had been moved to a workstation with an overall gray color scheme.

"I can think of ten good reasons to never let go of a dime, boy."

I never understood this.

Okay, here's something I don't get. Bear with me, I'm going to sound like a dimwit.

In "Something Smells," Patrick says "maybe it's because you're ugly." Spongebob does this:

Was he attempting to smooth out his nonexistent eyebrows? I don't get it.

I never got the so-called "doubloon" joke in Gary Takes a Bath. And I don't want anyone explaining it to me, either. It would be nice to go through life and be able to see one cartoon without innuendos in it.

I don't think there was hidden meaning here. Just Mr. Krabs being his cheap self.

In Pet or Pests:

Mr. Krabs: It's like they always say in the old country.

SpongeBob: What's that?

Mr. Krabs: I don't know! I've never been to the old country!

(Laugh ending)

I have never gotten this "joke" in my entire life and it's a really lame excuse of a joke.

I never got why the Krabby Patty said "Actually in your arteries"
- Krabby Patties are food
- Food contains substances which will be sent in the blood
- Blood can be found in the arteries
- Conclusion: the substances contained in the Krabby Patties will be found in the blood, which is in the arteries

I'm not sure about this, but I think that's what the Krabby Patty meant to say

Most likely because "tummy" is an inherently silly-sounding word
