During the SpongeBob movie, SpongeBob and Patrick had to go all the way to Shell City in 6 days. Well, what I've wondered is how Mindy can make it to the trench entrance so quickly when SB and Patrick took about 4-5 days to get there. I also wonder how she returns to Bikini Bottom in time to stall her father from executing Mr. Krabs. This can mean that she only took about a day or two to get to the trench entrance. Could Mindy have escorted SB and Patrick with the carriage and 'magically' get to the trench entrance in little time? Granted, I do realize that the movie involves a lot of the journey like in other quest-type movies, but this is something I've been curious of.

Her sea horses work wonders on how fast they can go. Plus we've seen how persuasive Mindy can be. Maybe she asks a lot of people on the way to help her? She's not only a princess, but nice as well. That would probably get her going places, literally.

Priceless. I like Jeffrey Tambor though but I don't see anything wrong with the original version of the character used on the show.

It's the reason why Sandy had no role in the journey. She would use a rocket she made, beat up the thugs easily, kill Dennis after 7 minutes, get the crown after senselessly beating up the cyclop, use the rocket to go back home, and finish the journey in 5 hours. It would make the movie dysfunctional. SpongeBob and Patrick aren't clever enough to find shortcuts and avoid giant anglerfish monsters with Susan Boyle for a tongue, nor tough enough to defend themselves and their car against pub thugs. Which made their journey much MUCH longer. Perhaps Bikini Bottom - Shell City isn't as far as depicted by the 2's adventure. It's possible that the 2 buddies avoid shortcuts and safe roads to visit dangerous contents during their amazing journey. Mindy did the opposite of what they did, and as a result, caught up. But hey, without the duo's incompetence, the journey will be shorter and the movie would be less interesting.

She definitely could have given them more practical help than she did, but maybe she thought it was more important that they learn to believe in themselves than to get the crown back quickly. For the story and character development, she was right. It would have sucked if they came back with days to spare having cheated using outside help. But jeez, Mindy, the entire population of Bikini Bottom is enslaved and a guy is about to be killed. Maybe not the best time for a life lesson about kids being awesome?

But seriously, it would have ruined the story if she'd let them hitch a ride in the carriage. Then they'd never get to meet Hasselhoff.

But the question is, would SpongeBob have enough self esteem in him where he learned being a kid was okay? I mean that if he didn't learn this, there's a chance that he wouldn't be able to become the rock playing wizard who really was the one who saved everyone at the end of the day.

One last thing, is she not a god, so to say? I mean, the episode with the kings son was all about them being gods, so that would make Mindy a god, no? Or am I way off?

Is so, then why she didn't help kinda goes to the fact that she was already going against her fathers wishes by helping them as much as she did.
