I typed in the URL www.sbmania.net/forums and instead of going to the forums it re-directed to the main page

Is this supposed to happen or is it a technical problem?

I think you have to put a / at the end. I first entered with without the /, and it took me to the main page. I then entered it with the /, and it took me to the forums.

Yes, you have to type it in with the slash at the end, I tested it as well and putting the slash at the end will direct you to the forums.
