Is "Club SpongeBob" a Spoof of "Lord of the Flies"?

Personally, I think it is. Here is why:

*SPOILERS FOR LORD OF THE FLIES BELOW************

1) In LOTF, they have a conch shell that represents respect and leadership. This is the same in SpongeBob.
2) Jack breaks away from the group in LOTF and makes his own tribe. While Squid (who obviously represents Jack) was alone, he acted in the same way. However one could say that Squid represented Ralph, for he was alone, struggling and refusing to be apart of SB+Pat's nonsense.
3) Ralph in LOTF is the leader, and respects the conch the most. So is/does SpongeBob.
4) Piggy in LOTF is Ralph's sort-of best friend and is extremely fat. So is Pat to SB in "Club SpongeBob", however one difference is that Piggy is intelligent and Pat is... well...
5) In both stories, the people are saved by a ranger that explores the deserted area. One could argue that SB, Pat and Squid were not saved by the ranger however.

Yeah, I think this is a complete parody of LOTF, and an awesome one at that! For the people who dislike "Club SpongeBob", whatever kind of maniac you are, read Lord of the Flies. It will make the Squidward torturing seem more acceptable, seeing as he represents the villain in LOTF and the villain DEFINITELY deserves everything Squid got.

I realize this post has happened before on SBM but it was almost 4 years ago.

No no not criticizing your age or anything just that my mom barely let me read it and I'm almost 15. You're right it's a good book. Maybe my mom is just really overprotective XD

so? It's a good book. Who cares what my age has to do with it?

Not sure if they were as consistent with their parody as The Simpsons were with Das Bus, but still pretty cool references anyway. :7
