even though i said this in the shout box i thought that i would say here for more responses.
a long time ago i read in a post that some jerk made saying girls can't play video games.and that made me mad.really what kind of jerk says that girls can't play video games? and they should just stick to playing with their barbies and video games are only for boys.who says that?well i say if your a girl and you want to play video games by all means go a head and play your xbox, play your playstation.play minecraft, play call of duty whatever.geeze some people today are jerks.

Not to be rude or anything because I totally agree with this but this kind of conflicts with some of the stuff todd has said before and that's why people are being sarcastic about it.

That's nice. And interesting.
Keep your sarcastic SpongeBob quotes out of this argument unless they make sense.

Todd actually much makes a good point here. I know two girls at my school who play games like Pokemon and Call of Duty and games like that. Some of them aren't even tomboys. And I'm kind of getting tired of the stereotypization (made up word, so shut up) that boys only like sports and video games and girls only like make up and ponies. PEOPLE CAN LIKE WHATEVER THEY WANT, PEOPLE! I don't judge you guys because you all watch SpongeBob. I like it too and I have no shame in it.

But yeah, this kind of contradicts what you say about shows like The Powerpuff Girls or MLP being for girls only.

I'm tired of people complaining about "fake gamer girls". I may not be much of a gamer but I do have female friends who love games.

^This.

Don't get me wrong, Todd's a nice guy and his opinions seem genuine. However, some of those opinions can be contradictory like OMLJ mentioned. I thought those posts were funny because they perfectly reflect Todd's unfortunately poor reputation here. Does that make me a jerk? Yes, it does, and I'll fess up to it. Even if they were funny, they ultimately distracted from Todd's main point: that anyone of any gender can play as many video games (or not) as they want.

Where did my second post go? You want to make a fool of me, internet?

That's nice. And interesting.
It's almost insulting that you made a post treating Todd's valid perspective about a big problem in gaming as if it were just unnecessary, if that's what you were going for.

I was expecting to read this topic and get mad but I wound up surprisingly pleased.

Did your PR agent told you to write this?

I once read a weirdo on a Spongebob forum judge how various popular women look. And he even had that audacity to not read any criticism anyone said about him.

All of these are unnecessary. Stop being surprised at everything he does and actually reply to the point he tries to make.

I just wanted to post that somewhere and this was the first topic I saw :dunno:
