my favorites are Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas and Reflection from Mulan! :sbthumbs:

I like Colors of the Wind because it uses aspects of nature to express how you should not judge anyone or anything because we are all just living beings here and are trying to live just like everyone else! I love animals! They are so nice and they do not do anything wrong!

I like Reflection since it is very emotional and it is about self discovery stuff and not fitting into society's standards which is very relatable!!!!

Both songs are about people being different! People should not be judged or expected to do pooey stuff! Let them do their thing and we will not have to sing sad songs about it in movies!!!!!!!

There's quite a few, but I absolutely love the entire Aladdin film, and its fantastic songs.. then again, I also love "When There Was Me And You" from HSM1 (for a lot of reasons, actually), so I'm kinda all over the place. :P

Also, anything from Phineas & Ferb.

*I'll Make a Man Out of You from Mulan
*Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid
*A Whole New World from Aladdin
*Beauty and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast
*Be Prepared from The Lion King

Though I could go on and on. There's so many good ones.

The Disney Renaissnce has a ton of godly songs.

Outside of The Rescuers Down Under, which lacked songs, the rest are really good. The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Tarzan have outstanding soundtracks, Hercules is pretty solid too, and with Mulan, though I find most of the songs forgettable outside of "I'll Make a Man Out of You", the songs are good.

As for non Disney Renaissance films, I think The Jungle Book, Oliver and Company, and Brother Bear have the best selection of songs; the latter two in particular I find the soundtracks for to be criminally underrated.

For my favorites, in no particular order:
"Friend Like Me" (My favorite Disney song)
"I Wanna Be Like You"
"Under the Sea"
"Hellfire"
"Be Our Guest"
"Be Prepared"
"Once Upon a Time in New York City"
Everything from Tarzan and Brother Bear

Overrated annoying song also very stupid too
Hey now, let's try to respect opinions. I also think it's catchy, though it's not really my favorite.
Also, just because you find something overrated doesn't mean it's inherently bad. Though I respect your opinion if you genuinely dislike it.

While I don't think Disney's Pocahontas can trump The Lion King or Bambi as a film that transcends generations, I cannot think of another single song that gives me goosebumps like Colors of the Wind. I tear up when I listen to it sometimes; because the music expresses something so profound and beautiful; and because we continually fall short of that noble ideal...

TMW an admin actually bumps a topic over a month old. :o
Anyway, I got a couple more songs that I like from Disney:

-Let it Go from Frozen: I know that it may be a cliche choice by now, but I can't help but listen and love the lyrics to this piece. That are very powerful to me since it teaches me to just let go of that restraint that keeps me from being the best that I can be. It also helps me to just stop letting society control me, and that I can just be myself.

-You'll be in My Heart from Tarzan: There's no denying that I think that the soundtrack from Tarzan is incredible. I really love Phil Collins, and this song proves. It's an uplifting song that reminds me that even if some of my pets have passed away, they will still be in my thoughts years later.

-Almost There from the Princess and the Frog: This one is super catchy, and I really like the message that if I work hard for something, put in dedication, and be persistent, I will be successful in the future.
