Could SpongeBob actually be a good driver?

Multiple times during the show, it's established that if SpongeBob gets his boating license, he'll be a terrible driver. For example:

I, for one don't think this. He's shown to operate other vehicles flawlessly throughout the show. I've found two examples of this in the show:

In Boating School, he was calm and under control because he believed with Patrick's help he could pass.

In No Free Rides, he felt he was able to have a boatmobile

In Mrs Puff, You're Fired, he operated flawlessly but had a blindfold

Perhaps most importantly, in the Hot Shot he operated flawlessly when he knew how to keep under control

Who knows? It's highly possible.

He definitely could drive a boat when he's not nervous or pressured, discovered that for a while now.
 
Well, he was obviously able to absorb the knowledge from the books in Nautical Novice enough to be able to tell everyone about boats, and probably would have been able to stop the runaway one had the other guy not been in charge. I think if he put the nervousness aside and confidently applied his knowledge, he could drive well.
 
I think he can. What causes him to do so badly in his driving tests is the anxiety. It's even been established in "Bumper To Bumper" that what causes him to fail is the anxiety he gets, and is actually quite a good driver when he's calm

In fact, one could say that the scene where they drive on the motorway at the end of the episode could prove he is a bad driver, but I think the reason he started go get nervous on the motorway was because Mrs. Puff was starting to panic
