I'm gonna make a Jennifer's Body topic in a couple of seconds, but in case it dies out, I got this one. :D

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs opens this weekend, woohoo. It's got a big voice cast featuring Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Andy Samberg, Bruce Campbell, Mr. T, Bobb'e J. Thompson, Benjamin Bratt, Neil Patrick Harris, Al Roker, Lauren Graham, and Will Forte...holy cow, that's huge.

I can't say I have any real expectations for this movie. It's definitely aimed for the younger crowd, but should be a decent hour and a half of gimmicky 3D fun. I think it actually looks better than...let's say, Monsters Vs. Aliens. Looks absolutely nothing like the book, but the fact that it's even based on a book isn't the selling point. It's colorful. It's 3D. It's got big names. Go watch it. (That's sounds just like Monsters Vs. Aliens...)

For those people who aren't going to watch 9, anyone interested? :tonguexd:

Yeeeeessssssssss......*hiss*

Gah, for some reason, the animation really catches my eye... What's his name? Flintlock or something? Whatever. I like him. A lot.

Also, this movie has food. And food is wonderful. And 3-D movies are fun.

So there.

In other words, I'm quite excited for this movie.

PLEASE tell me that the grandpa and his kids from the book are in it.

'Cause otherwise, this is NOT Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.

:rofl2:

My childhood is ruined.
Here's a good comparison.

Now compare.

I want to see this so badly. It looks so funny. "You are about to be crushed by a giant piece of corn" *a corn comes down after them* "ahhhh!" But it had nothing to do with the book because it's some guys fault.

It looks good, or delicious, as Laura said. :( Something fresh from the world of animation.

Holy crap! 91% on Rotten Tomatoes? And the day before it opens? Maybe it'll be better than we think it will.

The reviews have gone completely past my expectations with a very high 86% on Rotten Tomatoes. A couple of reviews have convinced me, as they have said it's "freaking funny" and has humor similar to The Lonely Island. Definitely gonna check out this one this weekend.

EDIT: Saw the movie. Fun time. Lot of variety in this movie. I'll get into more detail later. Catch this movie if you get the chance, and hopefully in 3D.
