Season 1 (1998-1999)- The first episode premiered in May, 1999, and production takes 6 month, so it might have been made back in 1998. And it must have ended in the near-end of 1999, due to Hooky/Mermaidman II premiering in April, 2000.

Season 2 (1999? or 2000?-2001)- The episode's easter eggs of Squidville, http://www.sbmania.net/forums/topic/35335-easter-eggs/, might be enough.

Season 3 (2001-2003) The first episode premiered in October, 2001, and the official premiere of this season started in 2002.

Season 4 (2004-2006) Just think about it, that have started production on Season 4 right after the movie, due to Fear of a Krabby Patty looking too similar to the movie design. And the last episode of Season 4 (in production code, not aired order) premiered February, 2007, so I'm assuming the production ended in 2006.

Season 5 (2006-2007) This might have started in 2006, because Season 4 was already done with it's production order, and ended in 2007, because the very last episode in production order (Hint: It's the 100th episode), premiered in November, 2007, also 96th episode onward used tablet.

Season 6 (2007-2009) The Clash of Triton was the last episode to air in Season 6, making this the third season to be the last-produced episode to air, and House Fancy premiered in early 2008.

Season 7 (2009-2010) This might be a little obvious because the last episode of Season 7 (again, in production order) was The Perfect Chemistry premiered in February, 2011, and the last-aired episode The Curse of the Hex aired in June, 2011, which aired during Season 8.

Season 8 (2010-2011? or 2012?) The first episode of Season 8 premiered in July, 2011 with the Week of New Spongebob episodes, and the last produced episode premiered in October, 2012, which is Hello Bikini Bottom, and the last-aired episode premiered at the absolute end of 2012.

Season 9 (2011-2013; 2014? 2015?-2016) The first episode of Season 9 premiered in 2012 and might have been produced in 2011, because Spongebob is known for having a cryptic premiere schedule when it comes to new episodes. And also the storyboard might be another examples. The last-produced episode of the Post Movie series, Spongebob, You're Fired premiered in November, 2012, and the last-aired episode of the Post Movie series premiered in March, 2015, which makes this absolute ahead of it airdate. The season continued right after the production of the movie, and the first episode of the Post Sequel series premiered in July, 2015, and the last-produced episode of Season 9, which is The Whole Tooth, aired in December, 2016, and the last-aired episode of Season 9, Factory Fresh (200TH EPISODE) which is still to be aired in February. Making this the longest season to be produced, due to the movie production.

Season 10 (2016-2017?) This just might be because Season 10 is the shortest season than Season 1, to be produced.

Give me your thoughts on my prediction.

OOPS! I meant to put

I can assume the actual code for each episode.

Season 1: AAJNX01-AAJNX41
Season 2: BAJNX01-BAJNX39
Season 3: CAJNX01-CAJNX37
I think you can guess the rest.

I feel that the final 2 digits of each row have something to do with the amount of individual episodes in each of these seasons.

I'm too lazy to find the exact spot where they say it but apparently Season 3 was finished in February 2002 and they just stretched out the episodes a lot.

http://www.bcdb.com/cartoons/Other_Studios/N/Nickelodeon/Nicktoons_Productions/SpongeBob_SquarePants/index.html also if this is to be believed (and it should be, since the production codes for S1 match up with what's marked on production art found online and in that SpongeBob art book from a couple of years ago) season 2 and season 3 overlap quite a bit in production order along with 4/5 so the episodes are even more out of order than we earlier thought

So every pre-movie episode is at least fifteen years old

They do. For example:

Atlantis SquarePantis' code would be EAJNX26.

On Wikipedia, it states the production codes completly differently. See, look:

Season 1 = 2515 - 1XX
Season 2 = 5571 - 1XX
Season 3 = 5572 - 1XX or 5572 - 2XX
Season 4 = 5574 - 4XX
Season 5 = 151 - 5XX
The rest is unknown.

Pretty confusing, right?
