Look, Mr Krab is drawn with normal animation:

Even his tongue isn't markered up, Mr Krabs is drawn with completely normal animation, just slightly more on model than usual.

As for Spongebob and Patrick, they're full on markerbob:

Here's another markerbob episode that has normal animation for a few frames. The Krusty Krab Training Video, which is a markerbob episode, has regular animation for a few seconds during the close-up scene of Spongebob's eye movement:

This actually looks like it's from season 3, the whole episode looks like an updated season 3 in general but this image actually looks like it's from a season 3 episode, minus the color palette
