I just realized that this scene in Chimps Ahoy has Spongebob's cheek and lip outline looking a little more thick than any other, post movie Markerbob? even if its for a single frame

Wormy turns into a Markerbob episode for a few seconds

I think the patchy segments and the actual episodes are produced separately. This is why in season 3 specials, the actual episodes have regular animation, but the animated scenes in the patchy segments are markerbob.

I wonder what would happen if a season 3 special had markerbob in the actual episode, I think the patchy segments would then have conventional animation.

This one frame in Not Normal reminds me of season 3 Markerbob for some reason
