That title would have actually improved the episode for me, my biggest issue is that it feels too dramaish, and just that change would make a whole world of difference.

Also people wish you a happy birthday and you instead opt to talk about a mediocre SpongeBob episode? Only sbm admins lmao.
 
Ugh. I hate this episode. Why is it even a special? I've never seen this episode until I found it on dvd so even Nickelodeon doesn't like to air it. It's kind of boring and there's nothing here to make it a special. At least Atlantis SquarePantis and Truth or Square actually felt like a special. Just adding in Patchy shouldn't make it a special. I feel like this episode was going to be a regular episode, but Nickelodeon had to have another special. 3.5/10
 
One of my least favorite Season 3 episode, the overall episode was unfunny except for Patchy part and the Bikini Bottomies were mean spirited. Not a good special like Party Pooper Pants.

It's mediocre. The song is nice, and the overall plot is cool, but I would have liked it better if the townspeople weren't such jerks and the episode could've used a few more jokes.

It's decent, I guess. There are some funny bits here and there, but, there was a lotta wasted potential for this episode. That's my main issue with this episode.

Another episode that didn't need to be a special. It suffers many of the same things that made Party Pooper Pants bad; boring story, lackluster humor, and unlikeable characters, but at least this one is a little more interesting. That being said, it's still not very good. The townspeople being mean to Spongebob for such a minute reason is really frustrating to see, and it honestly reminds me of Stuck in the Wringer a bit, which... yeah. The only part I really liked about this one were the songs, which were pretty good. I don't really need to mention the Patchy segments either because there's nothing to really talk about with them. They're just kinda... there. Kinda ironic that all of the special episodes this season ended up being not special at all.

Anyway, this is one of my favourite episodes from Season 3! The Patchy the Pirate plot is hilarious, especially when he throws away all his SpongeBob merchandise in a rage! :lol: And the SpongeBob plot is just as funny, and I love the songs such as "He's Flying", they kinda made the episode feel like a musical. :)

However, with the "Remembering SpongeBob" scene, and also the ending where the Narrator says "SpongeBob will live on in our hearts and in our minds", I can't help but wonder whether this was originally intended to be the series finale episode.
