It was alright. At least it had a story... other than the library scene it wasn't that funny. (ig the ending is also supposed to be funny but tbh I'd rather not have that bit in the episode). It felt slow at times. But despite all that, I found it enjoyable enough. I like it more than the average S14 episode but not as much as the actual better episodes of the season like Momageddon, Tango Tangle and BassWard. I'd say I expected better but honestly I know S14 so part of me was expecting garbage so it did exceed that. 6.5 or 7 out of 10

This episode was ehhhh, the pacing was awful, the jokes were pretty dry, the animation was also nothing to ride home about. Thankfully this episode has some good horror visuals, a great title card, and its not really that bad by any stretch of the imagination. Overall a 6/10, could be much much better

7/10. Good story but it’s not really funny. SpongeBob’s voice is back to normal (Season 11 for example) though, so that’s good. I really liked the character design of the book monster

More than likely because they recorded the voices much earlier than the other recent episodes. Either that or they pitch shifted it

Tom Kenny still sounds like he’s getting old. He just doesn’t sound as bad as he did in Tango Tangle.

Like I previously mentioned, it does make a lot of sense when you think about it, he's been voice acting spongebob since 1999, 25 years now

I thought it was pretty good. I liked it just as much as its sister episode. My only complaint is how tired the whole "SpongeBob can only make Krabby Patties" trope is. It's been done to death. 8/10

We talked a while back about a breakfast menu at the Krusty Krab on this forum- I would've liked to have seen a krabby patty version of a mcmuffin but it was mostly pancakes & stuff. Though they did show a patty in-between pancakes? That would probably be nice & maybe even a good idea for the Krusty Krab
