When talking about eras in SpongeBob and bringing decades into account, I have to be really careful in specifying what part of the decade. The 2000s goes from the last couple Season 1 episodes to the first couple Season 7 episodes. Needless to say, it fluctuated in quality greatly, though fans are still fond of the early 2000s. Then you have the 2010s (now 85% over), which has also had its fair mix of disasters and good episodes.

This is a thinly veiled test to see how much Season 6 is hated nowadays.
I didn’t put the 90s on, because the show had very little room for error with the 8 months it aired during that decade.

The 2000s didn't have any episodes that are cute as pinkie pie or have bunny squidward in them, but it also didn't have episodes that showed none from Michigan.

2000's by a long shot. Even if season 6 and a bit of 7 existed, the first 5 seasons existed. 2010's has most of season 7, plus 8, and the past few seasons have been mediocre.

The 2010's SpongeBob because the recent episodes have been offering some unique plots, upgraded animation and decent character development, even though I find it just okay. I find the 2000's SpongeBob overrated due to the earlier seasons emphasizing too much on the humor (in fact, I didn't find half of the 1st 3 seasons that funny and rather lukewarm or even annoying at times), Seasons 4-5, while having some solid plots, failed to balance the humor with the writing and characters and Seasons 6-7 soured the show even more by more character derailment, although I can say that a few episodes tend to be really funny (e.g. Cephalopod Lodge).

All I can say from SpongeBob as a whole is that it has a bad balance, although I can say that the later seasons improved the balance a lot.

Definitely 2000s; even though the late 2000s had Season 6 and parts of Season 7, most of the time period was good. the 2010s have had Seasons 7-9(a) so that is a factor against them being much better, although Seasons 9(b)-11 have been pretty good for the most part so there's that. Even then, as stated before, the 2000s era was better.

2000s because the pre-movie era.

Also, although this didn’t factor into my vote, Keep Bikini Bottom Beautiful/A Pal for Gary was the first episode to air in the 2010s.

Genuinely going for 2000's purely because I like Seasons 6 and 7 regardless, and I haven't watched "9b", 10 and 11 at all, so while Season 8 is my absolute favorite season, it'd be a bit unfair to vote for 2010's SB because of it.

EDIT: nvm, I'm goin' with 2010's, in spite of not watch the last two seasons. I just realized that 2000's SB only had the first couple S7 episodes, so 2010's win me over with the rest of that season, Season 8, and Season "9a" alone.

Of course 2000s are better, while I love seasons 9b-11 (for the most part just 9b and 11), 2000s, at first anyway, were true golden age of the show, so yeah. And the number of good episodes overall is bigger in 2000s.

2000s, theres no competition unless you hate pre-movie. Seasons 1-3 (heck Seasons 1-4) take up at least half if not more of the decade. 2010s are decent to bad, 2000s are amazing to bad

There's not even a comparison, 2000's by a landslide. It featured the majority of Pre-Movie (The only thing missing was a chunk of Season 1), by far the better of the two films, two mixed bag Seasons with plenty of great episodes (Along with bad ones). Yes, the 2000's did have Season 6, though I personally consider Season 7 far worse in comparison, and Season 8 had plenty of rotten duds that make the worst of Season 6 look like gems.

Even though tons of great content came out of the 2010's, the 2000's had Seasons 1-3, there's simply no comparison to the Golden Age to the modern era.

I like the 2010 version of SpongeBob. Only the new style of SB himself because his style is clean and impressive. The episodes between 1st and 2nd movie are pretty mixed. There are good ones and bad ones. When I was a child, classic SB (both the sponge and the episodes) is always my favorite & I grew up with him and it. But I like the modern SpongeBob (himself only) the most.

Season 1 was created 1999 but the last 4 to 5 episodes aired 2000 . So season 1 does not count as a 00s season .
