The Producers Guild of America announced the 2017 PGA Award nominations this week and SpongeBob has been nominated in the Outstanding Children's Program category alongside Girl Meets World, Octonauts, School of Rock and Sesame Street. (Click here for full list of television nominees.)

Winners will be announced January 28th.

Not sure who won this, but honestly, Sesame Street does FAR MORE for kids than SpongeBob does. Sesame teaches them valuable life lessons, ABCs, 123s, early math skills, even Spanish in recent years.

SpongeBob, in recent years, has become more and more rotten, to the point of currently being nothing but something I put on in the background.

If we're going by quality standards for kids, Sesame should win, as far as I'm concerned.

According to the PGA website, "Sesame Street" won the well-deserved award.

honestly, in my opinion, SpongeBob wins too many awards, it's become a glorified ripoff of the "later Ren and Stimpy" episodes
