(camera shows view flying over the ocean)
Narrator: In the most remote location on Earth, thousands of feet below the surface.... (camera plunges into the water, then the screen turns black) ....the unthinkable has happened. (bubble transition appears; Spongebob gets out of a black and orange hot rod, donning matching boots, and meets up with Mr. Krabs; the two begin walking; the surroundings appear to be a crime scene)
Spongebob: Talk to me, Krabs.
Mr. Krabs: (sighs) It started out as a simple order. A Krabby Patty with cheese.
Spongebob: (gets out jar of bubble soap and blows a pink bubble) What went wrong?
Mr. Krabs: When the customer took a bite.... no cheese!!
Spongebob: I'm goin' in. (begins walking toward the Krusty Krab; the cops are holding back the worried crowd)
Cop: Back up! Back up!
Narrator: Now, the only thing that stands between an improperly made sandwich and a disaster.... is the courage of one sponge.
Spongebob: (enters the Krusty Krab; a lone fish is seated with just a Krabby Patty on his table) Everything's gonna be just fine.
Phil: (looking very nervous) Who are you?
Spongebob: (puts a silver equipment case on the table and starts putting on a pair of black gloves) You got a family, Phil? (Phil shudders; Spongebob snaps his fingers) Come on, Phil, stay with me. Let's hear about that family. (Spongebob peruses through his case and points a finger) Bingo.
Phil: What?
Spongebob: (picks up a cheese slice with his pliers) Say cheese. (dramatic music plays; Spongebob moves the cheese toward the patty; scene changes to Spongebob kicking the Krusty Krab door open; the crowd gasps; we see Spongebob carrying the now-happy Phil in his arms) Order up.
Crowd: (hoists Spongebob over their heads) Three cheers for the manager!
Narrator: You may think Spongebob Squarepants is just your average, ordinary sea sponge. (we see Spongebob putting a bar of soap in his mouth, sticking a hose in his head, and filling the room with soap bubbles; he laughs)
Narrator: (sea scallop crows like a rooster, overlooking a scene of Bikini Bottom) But this November.... (Mr. Krabs is zapped by King Neptune)
Spongebob: Huh?
Narrator: ....when his entire world is threatened.... (Mr. Krabs bounces off the walls of the Krusty Krab, lands in a washtub, and sighs in relief)
Plankton: (shows only his body with veins popping out) I will rule the world!! Heh he.... (scene changes to show Spongebob standing next to him on the street, Spongebob pauses slightly before speaking)
Spongebob: Well, good luck with that! (new scene shows Spongebob and Patrick sprinting out of an elevator)
Narrator: ....he'll get the chance....
Plankton: (wearing an electronic headset) Seize him! (fish with "CB" hats begin walking zombie-style)
Spongebob: (standing in front of Mr. Krabs, protecting him from King Neptune's fiery trident) No! I won't let you! (Spongebob and Patrick slide superhero-style down two ropes)
Narrator: ....to become the hero....
Spongebob: (lands in the Krabby Patty Wagon; Patrick is already in the driver's seat) Step on it, Patrick! (the wagon accelerates; we see the "2-GO" license plate; the wagon crashes through the side wall of the Krusty Krab and lands on a highway; a pink fish with a grandma on its tongue is in hot pursuit of the vehicle)
Narrator: ....no one ever imagined. Bigger. (the word appears; Patrick and Spongebob are screaming and running away from a live-action gloved hand) Squarier. (the word appears; Spongebob sees the huge eye of a pink monster appearing from the sand and screams) Spongier. (the word appears; as Spongebob looks in the mirror, the back of his pants flips down like a door; he turns around, blushes, and tiptoes away as in Ripped Pants; he giggles) The Spongebob Squarepants Movie. (the inner-tube logo washes up on the sand; scene changes to two hick fish guffawing on a porch; we see Patrick and Spongebob in the Krabby Patty Wagon)
Patrick: Are they laughing at us?
Spongebob: No, Patrick, they're laughing next to us.
("In Theaters November 2004" appears with a Nickelodeon fish logo swimming across the top)
