I've been waiting for this feature since 2012, where has it been? I'm crossing my fingers.

They promised this for the Wii U. But it didn't happen. Glad we may get this finally. But how will the trigger buttons work.....

I'm really, really hoping this comes true, because I feel like the time has come for GameCube to be respected as a retro video game console as opposed to slightly outdated. That means it's the Wii's turn to be seen as the outdated one…thankfully.

This is good news. The Gamecube is one of my favorite consoles so I'm pretty hyped for this.

The GameCube is my favorite console of all time, with my favorite controller and a lot of my favorite games. As a competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee player, I'm ecstatic- if GameCube controller supported is implemented like it was on the Wii U, then this could be a big help to the competitive Melee scene, as that means that if all goes well, we won't be forced to lug around CRTs to play tournaments.

Of course, Melee isn't the only good thing on the GameCube...The Thousand Year Door, Metroid Prime, and The Wind Waker are some of my absolute favorites, along with so many more incredible games. It's been plugged into my TV since the early 2000's.
