If 2016 was a cow, it would never be milked once.

When 2013 came, Everyone started to get stupider and stupider. Back in 2013, the hot trends were Miley Cyrus, 'twerking", Frozen, and fashion, not dancing, NASCAR, SpongeBob, and rock music. There was nothing I could really say that was good in this year. Nothing. While I could count up to 50 wrong things with 2013. I thought that 2013 would be the worst year of all time, and that nothing could pass 2013 as the worst year ever.

That is, until 2016 came along.

This year started off pretty good. Not the best, though.

However, halfway through, the year started to turn dramatically from the best year in a long time into an awful, unbearable, disgusting year. Cut to June, and I get all of my video games taken away for good. By the time I get back online, my Xbox Live account gets locked because of the freaking security system. I cannot get past it no matter what I did, and it was just unbearable.

Too many people were dying. Prince, David Bowie, and other famous people died in 2016 while Fifth Harmony, Drake, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Sia, The Chainsmokers, and Meghan Trainor consistently make new "albums" and "songs" one by one, and they all top the charts for months. When that ends, more crap comes on the radio again. Besides Ebola, Cancer, and the Zika virus, we get a new disease: Pokémon GO disease. 99.9% of the apps mentioned are Pokémon GO. Pokémon GO this, Pokémon GO that. It's infecting people and spreading like cancer. You try to get away from it, but people ruin your chances. If you type the letter "P" in Google Search, the first thing that pops up is Pokémon GO. It IS a disease, and it's spreading like crazy.

Skip to September, and I see my whole family stressed out. Everybody is arguing and we are all fighting with each other. My mom is stressed out and she even had a panic attack. She was in the hospital for weeks. We went to Disney World but it was short-lived and disappointing. Recently though it managed to get a little better when I actually managed to get through the security system and buy an Xbox Live Gold subscription, but by that point the damage has been done. There is no possible way at this time that 2017 can just save us all and be a new year because what 2016 has done to us left us scarred with a huge mess to clean up. It's pretty obvious: 2016 is the new worst year ever. And out of all of the years in history, that's saying a lot.

I should clarify that all of this is fine. It's the rest of this post I take issue with.

Ok, I'm getting tired of people saying 2016 is the worst year ever. Yeah it sucks that we lost some famous icons, but guess what? The same thing happened last year and it'll happen next year too. Sorry about your family problems, but pop music on the charts and Pokemon Go aren't valid reasons to hate the year.

Exactly what Kat said above. The same things will happen over and over again during the upcoming years, and it's annoying seeing "2016 is the worst year" threads when we don't know of what other calamties or bad trends will happen in the future.

Not surprised. Not one bit.

I try not to act like a jerk to somebody because of their age, but there are certain occasions where all the pieces of the puzzle fit together. People like you and many others (INCLUDING me when I was your age) are exactly why people like to make fun of 13 year olds. You guys are way too uninformed to say anything that could be genuinely valuable to others, but you're too outspoken to be ignored.

Shut your petty and cynical mouth. Your complaining only makes the year worse, not better. Wanna make the world a better place? Maybe keep a more positive attitude. Does this year in particular have problems that makes it unique from other years? Absolutely. But at least NOTICE THE GOOD. Is there something bad? Take note of it, and point out that it's a bad thing on its own. Realize it's a problem, do something to improve it even slightly, even if it's just making others away of it.

13-year-olds like you are the stereotypical 13 year old. Now, as a 15 year old, I may be being a massive hypocrite, but there are ways for a stupid 13-year-old you and a stupid 15-year-old like me to stop being stupid. You obviously haven't started yet, because you're too busy complaining about Pokemon Go and pop music than to address and genuine issues in 2016, and more importantly, to recognize the good.

And I know that you've had personal problems with family. Your mom's panic attacks and the fighting, I can 100% understand why you're mad. But just because I see the reasoning behind you being mad at everything doesn't mean you should be mad at everything. You really need to try your best and to see beyond the negative and look at a bigger, better picture that has a MIXTURE of good and bad instead of blindly being either optimistic or pessimistic.
