We had been friends since February of this year, we're both in high school, and all of the sudden she rarely likes my photos (just a few; once a month or two, maybe even more) or responds to me. I think she is shy. I wrote lots of comments on her page and liked all her photos (she only has 7-8 photos, I have 30+). She also has 900+ followers, and I have <200. She gets 200+ likes, I get 3-9 likes on average (rarely above 15) per photo. She is a cheerleader, I don't play any sports.

I unfollowed and blocked her (and now unblocked her) because I thought she wasn't into me. I don't think my comments got deleted.

If you wanna......I dunno, the people I typically follow on my social media are people that I know.

I was expecting a case of cyberbullying, not this shallow BS. Instagram isn't a contest to see how many likes you can get and how many lieks you can give other people but a means to share your life via photography that's more than just selfies with fancy filters. Doing this crap in instragram is just like using facebook or SBM solely to get lots of likes and while I'm not against people enjoying social media, I am against them getting stressed over things that shouldn't matter. If you LIKE this girl's content, then continue to follow her so you see some cool stuff. If you're literally doing this just to gain a follower, then please cut it out and gain some sense... if she blocks you and you haven't made her uncomfortable, oh well who cares there is many other instagram profiles for you to gawk at. And unblock her and keep it that way because blocking her out of jealousy of likes is beyond immature.

If you know her in real life, just talk to her in real life. If she still ignores you, then she's a beach

This thread is going to be so funny to read in 10 years time. Or whenever Instagram isn't a thing anymore.
"You silly 10's kids and your holographic anxiety, back in our day we worried about more important things like likes on our pictures!"....
I'm not looking forward to seeing 00's kids grow up and become complete tools.

All generations are like this. As we grow older we become more cynical and are harsher towards changes in society- youth included. That said, a lot of things in the 2010s will probably be looked back upon as really dumb or stupid.

I know and I hate every bit of it because it's stupid and change is neccessary. :P So I'm not sure if I'll be more cynical towards change or towards people who don't shut the ::dolphin noise:: up about it. :P
