Let's all take a moment to reflect on the last time anyone from Korea tried to make a TV show in America: The Wonder Girls Special.

Never heard of it? That's because it was such a failure on TeenNick that it was quickly removed. In case you didn't know, the Wonder Girls are a kpop group, and, following the failures of previous kpop debuts in America, they decided to try a different approach through making a TV special here.

The result? Horrible. The acting in the trailer is appalling, and the plot is unoriginal.

What makes this attempt better? They actually recruited Nick Cannon to co-produce the show.

Oh yes, because Nick Cannon is the key to success on Nickelodeon.

*sigh* What are your thoughts on the show? Personally, I think it will fail miserably.

Like I said in the Nickelodeon upfront thread, I appreciate the diversity of the casting. The show doesn't look like anything special though.

I remember seeing that TeenNick show once, I don't remember much about it. The preview looks cheesy but I'd still prefer it over Nick's other sitcoms I guess. It's colorful at least.. And if the channel needed more diversity and asian stars well they could simply revive one certain show. :dunno:

Also: I used to be big on Kpop and this Make it Pop show probably would've excited me a few years ago. (I still listen to it but not as much as I used to) But now I'm wondering how exactly this show is going to work.

Okay, good to know. You don't need to make that fact annoyingly obvious, dude.

Why does Nick still matter to you guys? We already know that damage has been done to Nick and nothing will be the same anymore.
Until new management comes into play.

Probably just voicing his opinion about it like he's annoyed that it's coming here, too. No need to get your jimmies rustled.
